Hi,

I have an odd issu with my pureview, at the moment, I've not been able to isolate what is causing four of the cores to simply get stuck at top speed, CPU 4-7.

I've been letting the battery drain completely, recharged, no changes.

This issue started when I upgraded from Android 9 to 10. I managed to clear it, by factury resetting the phone, then rebuilding it, this resolved the issue. Till this morning, when it started again.

I would like to find a way to ID what is causing the issue?

Any help would be apprciated.

Try another app like dev check then you can see how long it stays at each state.

They seem to stay at 2800Mhz all the time, never relenting. Draining the battery in around 4-5hrs rather than over 20hrs. The battery doesn't manage to charge fully due to the speed power drain of the CPU. It would normally get to over 80% load in just over 1hr, now it doesn't even get to over 50% in 3hrs.

Any advice would be very welcome

Boot into safemode and see if the behavior happens

Hold down power button till menu pops up then hold down on the power off till it ask to boot to safe mode.

If safe mode is ok then it's one of the apps or combination of them that have been installed.

thanks will do that, will monitor for a few hours and see if the battery drains as quickly. I obviously cannot see what the CPU is doing, as Dev Tools etc won't run due to safe mode.

Hi,

Left it is safe mode noted that one app seems to have been running for 50x longer than any other app. I unistalled the app in question. Rebooted the phone, CPU load normalised. I wasn't using the phone, so SIM card was removed. [used old Nokia 8 while testing] No CPU issues for for days, reinstalled impacting app, no CPU issues. .

Today, I put the SIM back in to the Nokia 9, CPU issues start again. Unistall offending app, suspected same one as before, CPU issues goes away. I reinstall the same app again, CPU issue Gone.

The APP is an app to control my hearing aids, hence why I keep puting it re-installing it. Should the issue happen again, I'll contact the vendor.

So, at the moment, all is OK, I have a work around that's not too annoying.

Glad you got to the issue, hopefully the app vendor help or if another app can be used
