Under normal conditions, any Quallcomm certified quick charge device or a normal wall charger could be used. I suspect defective wall charger or charging cable. Have you tried to use different set of charging equipment? If your problem persists, try a soft reset. Furthermore, check Nokia Support app to ensure your battery is healthy. Another option is to use FQC test app which shows battery's health status. Hope above is of any help.
I'm fed up with Nokia 8... Worst decision ever to buy this phone... Trust is fully gone in Nokia.... My phone continuously keeps restarting.. 2nd thing It doesn't charge I have to switch it off and turn it back on while charging after that it charges... Can somebody please help me out before I break this phone.

This was my issue. Couldn't see any dust, but after scrapping around for a while with a pin, I started to get little clumps of dust out. Now the cable sits in better and charging resumed as normal!
It doesn't fix the problem but let's you know if your phone is actually charging......I have been having problems with my Nokia 8 intermittently not charging. The phone always detects the charger being connected but sometimes it fails to charge the battery. Ampere allows me to see if the charging current is correct. Sometimes it's less than 100mA and the charging cycle fails. I just disconnect then reconnect until I see the the expected 1200mA -1500mA charging current (check your charger rating for your correct current) then I have confidence that my phone is charging when I walk away from it.

But in my case it just charged for a second then stopped for 10 seconds and then continued to charge normally?
Most likely the problem is dust "pushed" into the port connector hole; it was in my case and I resolved this by cleaning the dust with wooden toothpick.

Try Ampere App.
