I would like to inform you first time I experienced bug after the purchase of one week. Immediately I visited to Nokia Service Center they have formatted my Nokia 7.2 by informing me it's bug.
Today Once again same bug experience with pure display. Why Nokia/HMD is pushing bug or not having bug free software?
Earlier I was using other brand but never experienced any bug.
I am sure Nokia/HMD will reply and solve this issue.
For your ready reference I have recorded screen.
I was having very high regards for Nokia but I am feeling very low.

Nokia service is very bad
Does it require a full format via Nokia Care to get the device working properly again? You can also try by resetting the PureDisplay using the dialer code.
I hope this will fix the issue for you. You can do the PureDisplay calibration again if the issue reappears in the future.

Thank you. I have tried this now but the issue I have is, once the screen locks and goes dark, the visuals on the screen does not come up again unless I restart the phone.

That's a weird outcome. Can you retry after a reboot? If it still remains the same, then it could be some issue and you should check with Nokia Care.
Do ensure that nothing covers your light sensor.

Hi I'm new here. My 7.2 faces problems with pure display in a few YouTube videos. I get a very washed out picture quality. It only happens in a few videos. Tried the above method but problem still persists. Any solution?
Please follow the suggestion given by @singhnsk .the same problem I was facing but after following that suggestion issue is resolved. Try that, it works.
Did it happen on all videos for you. It only happens for a few videos on YouTube for me.
Just tried it. Still those videos alone cause problems. Other videos are splendid. Is this a bug or is this supposed to happen?
Could be a bug. Since PureDisplay's concept is to upscale content in real-time, I guess it is fair for the system to fail at some things. It can't accurately identify everything and upscale it flawlessly. Should be fair to disable PureDisplay via quick toggles when you encounter such a video. As long as the occurance is rare, you can ignore it :D

We can hope for that. But since the next update is going to be a major one (Android 10), I am actually preparing myself to face more bugs 😛 We'll wait and watch how well HMD's developers fare this time around :)
