Are you experiencing notification problem too?
yes
I'm on android 9 and I have slow charging so I don't think it's a software issue
By the way you can't downgrade they won't even let you flash a custom rom so... As much as I hate to say it your stuck with android 10
Do you have Google ambient display on while charging? Turn it off my phone is charging at 40percent per hour with Android 10 same as pie.
downgrade is possible bro. downgraded to pie by changing slot yesterday. since it didn't change, i updated again & suggest you to install android 10. it's much better than pie.
mine is 40 in a hour too. it seems that the 3.5 hrs is normal for our phone.
Normal is about 2-2.5 hours from depends how much below 20 percent it gets
Hello beautiful community, with the recent Android 10 update almost all of the users of the Nokia 2.2 have been experiencing problems with notifications, battery and other things, so I wanted to know if there's any way to rollback to the beloved Android 9 and get rid of this annoying issue and maybe update to Android 10 when Nokia releases the fixing update
Since this is the first major update for Nokia 2.2 you do have chance to get back to previous version by changing the active slot

Before doing this remember that you are only responsible for your device!!!
@Jona
For a little better guidance, I'd say that you follow this guide instead. The only key difference is that you should remove your Google accounts from the phone prior to downgrading. Else the phone will not allow you to skip WiFi after the downgrade and connecting to WiFi will force the update immediately before allowing you to use the phone.
Gonna try this, but if I do a factory reset before doing the downgrade? Will it be the same or there'd be problems with that?
Why roll back without first trying to do a factory reset. I have reset last nite and going to see if notifications are ok
I've done everything, I've have done a factory reset 3 times on android 10, nothing works by this time, I really like Android 10, is smooth and everything, but it has so many bugs that is like HMD released it without doing proper testing
You can. But you need a reset after the downgrade too. Reasoning - Android builds userdata partition (mounted at
/data
) which stores all your files and app data. After the reset, when phone boots up, it will rebuild the userdata partition. And an older version of Android cannot live off a newer userdata. It needs to be rebuilt after a downgrade.A reset doesn't solve the notifications from appearing up. I downgraded my own 2.2 too because a smart device which can't keep an active notifications listener isn't really smart. Not that affected by other bugs, this one is just critical. Too bad when good things turn bad.
I agree have to have notifications. I have been trying to get them, some come thru others don't at all. All google notifications work as expected like Gmail, messages, google calendar. The factory reset cleared up several other quirks. Like restoring the search bar in the system settings. I have received notifications for 3rd party apps but they appear to be only sometimes.
Yes, they work for Gmail and that's something I don't use 😅. I'm having difficulty with WhatsApp and Telegram notifications and it's annoying.
Do let me know if you get to fix it. Maybe the adaptive battery thing will learn that the user is using WhatsApp often and will decide to stop killing it (or whatever it is doing with it)? 🤔
It is really strange, not sure why all the included google apps work like calendar, mail, but no app added from the play store after the fact. I cannot get any notifications for anything but pre-installed google apps
After downgrading and hours of reinstalling my apps with the trash internet I have, I can say that all the notification works, the only bad thing about pie is the lack of a complete dark mode just some apps get the dark mode but whatever, notifications are working and that is the important thing
Sure hope this gets ironed out quickly in Android 10
guys! downgraded to pie. everything is ok and phone charges in 2.5 hours from 0 to 100!
if enyone has slowcharging problem in android 10, downgrading will completely solve it.😉
Android 10 had no notice able changes in charge speed. The phone is running hard after a major upgrade and needs a few days to settle in. If you chart the charging in an app like gsam battery monitor you will see no difference after it settles in. It charges slower when the phone is running alot of processes or the screen is on to control temperature.
I compared offline charging speed in both pie & 10.
pie: 2.5 hrs
q: 4 hrs
to full charge. and other problems in q. so I think in this time pie is better than 10.
I did not see 4 hrs on my 2.2 after factory reset
aha!

Ur battery needs to be calibrated and that's the only way to improve ur charging speed and timing : )
