Nokia 8.1 caught wifi extremely badly, I tried using Nokia 8.1, Nokia 6.1 and Nokia 3 at the same distance at the same time, resulting in only Nokia 8.1 weak reception. One was that so.
Wi-Fi has very strict transmit power levels and improvements are made via MIMO and multiple antenna not by raising any power levels. My router has 7 internal antennas which is used to improve coverage (and therefore perceived signal strength) and speeds but your phone has to be able to take advantage of what the router can offer.
My router is in the next room 23 feet away with a solid brick wall between me and it, sadly i cannot put a Nokia phone in to this mix as they are either all dead or in for repair.
OnePlus 7t
Moto G5 Plus
I was sat in the same place using the same band using the same router. The only difference is the amount of antennas the phone has internally.

It's how it is. I've noticed that the receiver isn't as powerful as other phones. And there's nothing you can do to improve it.
Yoy said what you think, l but i read the joke
u have to try use wifi router on 5 MHz,2.4 works no good
Works abaolutly fine here on 2.4 and 5GHz, maybe it is your router or the channels you are using. Also split the 2.4 and 5GHz SSIDs, this can solve a load of problems.
I haven't noticed such weak wifi signal reception on my nokia 8.1 even at long distance i.e.above first floor in my house only nokia 8.1 gets connected to wifi and nokia 6.1 didn't connect and sometimes didn't find wifi network at long distance. Look at my screenshot which i get highest speed of my wifi connection.
I haven't compared to the other k Nokia phones. But since I gave my Nokia 8.1 to my brother whose OnePlus 5 is lost, he complains of no coverage near his bed on the ground floor, at the same place where the OP5 would connect fine (not with full link speed, but usable; at least won't auto-disconnect. The 8.1 loses the link). That's how I believe that the antenna might not be as strong as some other phones. Not like it's very bad, just a tad bit maybe. But both phones vary significantly when it comes to the SAR emission. So, I shouldn't complain when getting some health benefits.
Your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz network, connect it to a 5GHz one.
My Router didn't support 5Ghz Bandwidth that's why using 2.4Ghz Bandwidth.I have tested with 5Ghz as well but it's wifi hotspot of my Nokia 6.1 for quick big file transfer through share it which gives 15MB/s-17MB/s Speed.
Well 17MB/s is 136Mb/s so very fast indeed, my home broadband connection is only 75Mbit. My only suggestion then would be to get a router that supports the 5GHz frequencies, you will find it is very much worth it. There is less interference in the 5GHz bands and there are more channels to pick from so you're not getting crowded out.
My Nokia 8.1 cannot convert from 2.4hz to 5hz? Why?
Do you have the frequencies split in the router or are you relying on band steering?
On my phone there is no 5Hz band reception setting, on the router I do not know 5Hz band setting, I only use what the provider has set by default.
There is no setting to make the phone use 5GHz, it is just available, all you do to use a 5GHz Wi-Fi access point is select a 5GHz one when picking what SSID you wish to connect to.
If you don't know how to split the frequencies on your router then i suggest you google it, it isn't very difficult to do.
I just removed evenwell bloatware and that's seemed to have helped with Wifi connection esp. for 2.4GHz and still nowhere nowhere close to 5GHz.
Nonetheless it is nice to see some improvements when you're at the edge of the room.
Which internet speed monitor app are you using?
I am using this application from long time. Its ads free.
