Thoughts on Nokia C5 and C2(s)?

All I'll say is: Good for where they are headed. But that thicc chin could have been avoided. It's more like somebody deliberately wanted to ensure that the fat chin is there.
Overall, usable devices for the price IG. What do you think?

Hi @singhnsk,
I think that @SirFaceFone has got bored and not come back! At least, I hope that's all that's happened and nothing worse.
I think these products indicate that HMD has the memory of a goldfish and common sense of a lemming when it comes to naming their products. Two C2s but not the same C2 as the rest of the world is getting. And what is the difference between these new C2s? Er, the colour, anything else?
HMD's decision not to include dedicated subforums for the US specific models shows that they don't care two hoots about users really, because if they did they would have a dedicated place where people can come and discuss and find solutions to problems for these totally different phones! Except the 2V and the 3V I think, aren't they the same as some global models. See, even I've got confused about it all.
I do like HMD actually giving the phones names though instead of numbers, I wish they would do that more.
Cheers 🙂

Heyy, nice to see you back! (I got a notif via email)
Pretty much. There hasn't been any big news from HMD lately, the few that are out there are mostly disappointing or just... sad. I mostly hang out on Nokiamob and Twitter nowadays.
I'm not sure what to say anymore at HMD with their ultra late releases and convoluted entry in the US market (or in most markets really). Right now I'm just hoping the upcoming Nokia CEO can do something (exciting?) about the brand's licensing strategy, especially with HMD.
Here's to hoping, again.

Hi @SirFaceFone,
The approach in the USA does seem odd, I can only assume that it does make financial sense for HMD to do USA-only models like they did quasi-China only models (but then why wouldn't they do India only models?).
Maybe the new CEO at Nokia will do something, or maybe he will look at the licensing fees and think that this is fine as long as the money keeps coming in! However I think Nokia wants brand awareness as much as money so if HMD don't spread the brand around enough, or he thinks that brand is too closely associated with Google or diluted/confused by it, then he may make some changes.
Mostly though I think we will see a continuation of the beige Android status quo.
Cheers 🙂
