If anyone with TA-1118 who are in android 10 may security patch(3.15H) have done the degrade to android 9 and upgrade to android 10 3.15K... Please give a confirmation that you did it successfully.... Please...

@HMDLaura Send an update quickly to android 10 3.15H may patch devices now.... it's 6months.

I think if you have same RAM and storage as mine (3/32) is safe to flash using my method. In the source in Russian web there is also no mention about the version even RAM and storage. I just dare to try, because the old 3_15H is useless for me if it can't show notifications on real time. I'm satisfied with 3_15K, my phone back to normal and also improved in battery life than previous version.

I fear if we have a power cut suddenly....i just also want to know what to do if at all the phone doesn't restart.....or if at all there's a power cut in the middle of the procedure...

How to Update Android 10 version from 3_15H to 3_15K in Nokia 3.1 Plus

Before we begin, I want to make statement that I'm not responsible for any brick phone might happened. Please follow the instructions carefully and do not use other software or firmware that not listed here or not from my source.

Materials needed:

Let's begin!

I'm using Windows 10 professional 64 bit version 20H2 for flashing process, I don't know if you are using 32 Bit version.

1. Turn On USB Debugging in Developer Mode and turn off System Auto-Updates, make sure your phone battery is higher than 50%, higher is better.

2. Remove your Google account. Turn off the phone, wait until it is completely cut out, then remove your memory card and SIM cards, do not turn it on yet, we'll do it later.

3. Extract all materials, put in in one folder with different folder name for easier to identify.

4. Open Nokia USB Drivers folder then install it.

5. Open SP Flash Tool folder.

a. Run flash_tool.exe

b. In Download Agent section, choose folder where you extracted the Download Agent files, do not use other than that.

c. In Scatter Loading File section, choose folder where you extracted the Nokia 3.1 Plus Firmware, it will automatically loaded all the files needed.

d. In Authentication File section, leave it blank and below that section choose Download Only.

e. Do not uncheck anything files below that, leave it as it is.

g. After all done, click Download button.

h. Connect the USB cable to your phone by pressing Volume Down, your phone will be detected automatically by SP Flash Tool and the process begin, do not cancel it until finished.

i. An OK box will appear when the process completed.

6. Unplug the cable then turn on your phone, you'll feel the vibrate.

7. If it can turn on and Android One logo appear, I think you have success flashing it. Just wait until Welcome screen appear and follow the instructions.

8. Because I do not follow the instruction No. 1 and 2 before, it's automatically update and can't be skipped. Maybe if you follow it you can skipped the automatic update process and can stay in Android 9.

I changed my mind I'm going for the 5.3 , will get android 11,12 and 13 hopefully based on when it was released

It will only get 11 and 12. Not the 13 :)

Why won't it get 13

You don't know what you are on about, it's (2 years) major android updates so if 13 comes out in those 2 years it WILL GET IT

Google releases only 1 Android in 12 months. So, in no 24 months will you get more than 2 Android releases. That's the point and that's why I simplified it to 2 major Android releases only.

None of HMD's phones so far have got 3 Android releases. Nokia 6 from 2017 launched with Android 7 and got Android 8 & 9. Nokia 6.1 came in 2018 with Android 8 and got Android 9 & 10. It won't get Android 11. Nokia 6.2 launched in 2019 with Android 9 and got Android 10 and it will get Android 11. It won't get Android 12.

So, unless Google starts releasing more Android versions in 12 months, you will only get 2 major Android OS updates. Simple, right? :D

Nokia 5.3 came with Android 10 in June-July. It will get Android 11 around December. From 2020 to June 2022, Google released Android 11, and it will release Android 12 around October 2021; and then Android 13 around October 2022. Nokia 5.3 will complete its 2 years around July 2022, hence the question of getting the Android 13 will not arise even by the calculation of 2 years.
