Nokia5.3_Straight question to NOKIA
Hey Nokia,
Though you have made good hardware bundled device (while lacking in optimizing camara performance and audio output), NOKIA, it is time to work on software part to catch the attention.
Design part can be considered + (Plus) factor, still it's far ahead getting pace reaching customers wishlist as it requires too much to calibrate/optimization work.
NOKIA at some stage have a great brand identity in the mind of the customer, matching that expectations can only be possible, once NOKIA start working on the competitiveness.
Now let me put the straight question to NOKIA Support Team...
- Would it be possible for NOKIA team to improvise/calibrate/optimization in NOKIA 5.3 ?
- Would it be possible for NOKIA team to work on software part to get more out of the current HARDWARE BOX (i.e. NOKIA 5.3) ?
- Most Importantly: Are your present tech-leaders (internal team) really love to use NOKIA 5.3 or in future ?
- Do NOKIA Team thinks that the launched HARDWARE BOX (Nokia 5.3) can perform well in future?

The nokia 5.3 is a extremely well optimized phone running Android one. What else can you expect out if a 200 dollar phone, it's the best option for the price with pure.android. period.

@jdi000 disagree with your comments, software optimization is the important part and if you are satisfied with the performance that's your call. I have highlighted some points which I would really like to share with the NOKIA Support Team.
- Camera App requires calibration, EIS can be implemented if OIS is having issue.
- Night mode can be enhanced
- White is not white, it's more like a blue screen. Similarly screen color calibration is the important part FOR ALL RED, YELLOW, BLUE AND GREEN.
Hope this can be resolved in near future.

They should give bootloader unlock

1 the phone does not have ois , not on a 200 dollar phone on any brand.
2. The limitations are still the hardware being used. Not sure much more can be optimized
3. There is a white balance adjustment in the display settings so you can make the whites look as you prefer.

- OIS is for high end mobile that we all know, alternatively EIS (Electronic Image Stabilizer) is software part where NOKIA can explore and implement/FIX EIS over rolling OTA.
- If NOKIA is working on enhancement (related to software part not limited to delivering OTA updates but also hardware+software enhancement) that would the great thing to see in future on NOKIA 5.3.
- Dear @jdi000, we know that there is a white balance adjustment in Settings > Display > White Balance, but while exploring Developer Options > there is no option for ACCENT COLORS option which may help feel more better, adjusting color as per individual preferences.
The current customer base might exploring the possibilities in the recent launched COOL DESIGNED HARDWARE BOX (NOKIA 5.3). But yes there are possibilities to get more & more out of this device.
NOKIA hope Tech Team is working on the aforementioned points or may start working on these ASAP.

Software issues, so my N5.3 bit laggy when i play games but notification suddenly poped out. There is significant framerate drop. It also happens when i play games while calling someone.
It didn't happen with my N6.1+, so we need a solution.

Use do not disturb while playing intense video games . This phone is the 5 series and not the 6 series so expectations should be a bit lower, the 5.3 performs excellent in day to day any use. Heavy intensive games can be played.

@Uji Tawakal This phone is not meant for hardcore gaming, instead, it is more likely to be used for routine and office tasks. You may also wish to use this phone for Photography and Entertainment purpose, but at this stage, it requires some fixes.

1,2,3 - no one knows.
The phone will get monthly security patches and will get near stock android 11, doubt any electronic image stabilization happens for this phone as it's been released and is already 7+ months old and is a sub 200 dollar phone. Theme color might show up in Android 11.

See I am not denying as phone is worth buying across globe.
In INDIA, local brand is also committing on software part to deliver high performance with pure Android Experience. Rates are very competitive as well with Made in India product portfolio.
There is a question of sustainability and the delivery part as per the expectation drawn by Consumer, where renowned brands are coming up with commitment of good combination of software hardware support.
Let me tell you in clear words, NOKIA is the world's renowned brand, maintaining trust fector is the important part across product portfolio.
If someone is buying NOKIA Branded product from any of the portfolio in which NOKIA is dealing and at the first buy the performance is not matching with the assumed expectations, sustaining that consumer for longer run is the real challenge for the Brand.

Hi there, let me help you understand where NOKIA 5.3 is outperforming (using it from last 20 days)
- Battery: Day plus performance after having heavy usage.
- OTA: System updates are delivering in good pace (not in the case with Google Play System Update)
- Electronic Compass: Supports Electronic Compass (unexpectedly available and works well)
- Network Reception: Extremely good as of now (using Vodafone IN + BSNL IN/glitch in bsnl network)
I would request TechGeeks to highlight/discuss some tips or tricks help improving the device, add up some utilities or help get more out of this HARDWARE BOX.

Proximity sensor calibration issue.. whenever I call screen goes dark.. very annoying.
Nokia should give fix the problem by software update

It does not effect all phones so I would contact nokia support and get it looked at.
