Hi y’all

Since November is approaching its end – we want to release one last post in honor of the communities 2nd anniversary. So far we have looked into some numbers and in your favorite community memorize, today we want to know who the Nokia Phones family members are. We already have the ‘Introduce yourself’ thread, but we thought it would be nice to give you all another option to get to know each other. To do so we prepared a few questions, but feel free to tell us about you whatever you feel like sharing with the community.

    Nokia 8.1 is my current Nokia phone. Nokia 8.1 is one of the best Nokia phones that I have used to date. It is a complete all-rounder phone.

    My favourite Nokia phone is a Nokia X2 Dual SIM. I like this phone more because I have many memories with this phone so I can never forget this phone. For the first time, I rooted this phone and added Google Play Services, Google Applications and Google Play Store at that time. Even I got the firmware files of this phone from B2X support, whenever I used their software recovery tool.

    My most-used apps are YouTube, WhatsApp, Twitter. I am also a cricket fan so mostly use Hotstar and Cricbuzz.

    The first thing that comes to my mind when I think of the old Nokia phone is about the camera, music and games (I don't remember the name of the Xpress Music model but I liked the cricket game at that time). After the launch of Nokia 6 in January 2017 (China) and Nokia 3 in June 2017 (India), I started thinking more about build quality, durability and software updates in Nokia Phones. From last year, Started to think about performance in Nokia Phones as well.

    My Nokia favourite moment is Nokia 8.1 launch event (Dubai) as it was a very special, most exciting mobile phone at that time and Nokia 8.1 launched on time. I would like to add two other events. MWC2018 (Barcelona) for Nokia 6.1 for its durable 6000 series aluminum unibody and bold color accents for diamond-cut edges. MWC2019 (Barcelona) for Nokia 9 PureView for its five cameras.

    1- Currently I am using my nokia 5.1 plus. ( Previously I was in love with nokia X2-01).

    2- My nokia 5.1 plus is my favourite ome📸 and this is my favourite one because this phone complete my all need in one phone❤️❤️ It's built quality❤️premium look❤️ amazing camera 📸 performance 📸 it's all that's make me fall in love with this legand.

    3- The most using app is

    1- Obviously camera

    2- what's app

    3- Instagram

    4- The first thing come in my mind when I think about nokia is strong build quality, Premium Look, Up to date with android one📸📸

    Hi, this is KB.

    1. Nokia phone that I use , cherish currently is Nokia 5.1 Plus.

    2. My favourite Nokia mobile is My current and forever beast Nokia 5.1 Plus . And my other favourite is the good old Nokia 5300 classic (music player was the best in it).

    3. Since buying my most used 3 apps are Nokia camera app, Chrome browser, whatsapp. If the fourth app is to be considered then it is instagram. But due to this pandemic Nokia's My phone app is recently the most used app.

    4.My Nokia 5.1 Plus is the favourite and I love this and can't able to pin point a feature in this. But I love the most is the camera of this beauty . (Here is an request that please add manual focus mode in video and video pause option both in video mode and other modes like timelapse, slo mo. Renovating the camera app is requested as you did for the community). Many of them suggests many more features in the camera department but I just need this. If not also its ok but it will be a good addition to provide an all round performance .

    5. Nokia favourite moment is the Macro photography contest that held a month back in this community.

    Their are lots of Nokia phone is my favorite list but from Android Nokia 7 Plus is Currently Favorite one , because of its beautiful Design, great craftsman ship, durability 💪

    NOKIA 6, MY FRIEND BOUGHT NOKIA 6 AND THE PERFORMANCE AND CONSISTENCY THAT STRONG DEVICE PROVIDED, LED ME TO BUY NOKIA 6.1, WHICH IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE.

    My favourite Nokia phone would be the nokia lumia series ..i owned lumia 720 and lumia 1020 too..these phones were just amazing and very unique, the polycarbonate case and CBD display was an ideal combination for an phone..I request you to please launch a phone same like lumia Design but with Android!🙏

    Then again nokia 5.1 plus & 7.2 are my favorite too 😍

    I most often use instagram, whatsapp,camera and Snapseed!

    It feels like Family...my whole family uses a nokia phone and we all love it❤️, For me Phone = NOKIA whenever we think of a phone we only look for nokia phones.

    My favourite Nokia moment is the moment i was selected as a Winner of "my life in a photo" contest!

    I remember @Lazysince1995 gave me the message that i was in the winner list early in the morning! Ant that news really madey day...i thank Nokia for everything 🙏

    Hello @HMDLaura and all the community members.

    I have been a Nokian since I purchased my first mobile phone, the Nokia X2-00 back in 2010. The phone still works flawlessly but is in a bad cosmetic condition from front. That device and the best after sale service provided by Nokia back in the day made me a Nokia fan. I have never owned a device from any other mobile phone company till now and the sale of D&S back in 2013 was a very heart breaking moment for me as well as for many die hard Nokia fans.

    I kept using my trusted phablet - Nokia Lumia 1320 till H1 2018 until I purchased the Nokia 2 (Yes, that was my first HMD made Nokia device as HMD never offered the beautiful copper Nokia 6 in India or the Limited Edition Nokia 6 in Piano Black.). Soon, the Nokia 7 Plus Copper/White was launched in India and I instantly grabbed that beauty.

    I have to say, it was a very tough decision for me who prefers design, build quality and in hand feel over raw specifications to select one between the Nokia 6.1 and the Nokia 7 Plus. Both had their own positive points which the other didn't have. Nokia 6.1 had a classic 16:9 form factor with full metal build and the Nokia 7 Plus had Dual Cameras and Ceramic coating with a unique design and I went with the later. I miss these materials on the current Nokia line up and many 1st & 2nd gen Nokia smartphone owners who are looking for a solid metal Nokia smartphone to replace their old device don't have any option to choose from the current Nokia line up. So, I hope HMD looks into this and brings back phones made from solid metal at least in Mid-High end segment.

    Phone I use:

    Coming to the current phone I am using, it is the Nokia 7.2 which I started using as my primary phone since October. Before that I was using the Nokia 9 PureView which now rests at home. Apart for the above two I have a Nokia X, Nokia Lumia 1320, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 2 and the Nokia 2.3.

    Favourites! Not one but many.

    Being a Nokia Fan I do like a lot of Nokia phones. From the phones I have used in HMD era, I'll pick the Nokia 9 PureView due to its uniqueness and Nokia 7 Plus is my 2nd pick but that USB port has started giving me issues now. From the phones I have used in Nokia era, I choose my Nokia Lumia 1320 as my favourite smartphone. It was snappy, had a decent camera, large screen and did everything without a lag. I really miss WindowsPhone. 🙂

    Nokia X2-00 is my first Mobile phone and I am emotionally attached to that phone.

    But I also have a few favourites from the Nokia phones I never owned. Nokia N9 running on MeeGo is one of my favourites for its unique OS and design. It is a perfect example that shows how much ahead Nokia was compared to the competition. I would like to add a line from an article on The Verge titled "Nokia saw the future, but couldn't build it". The article has a line "The Nokia N9 was a revelation, but MeeGo was never given a second chance". Maybe things would have been a lot different if it had got a chance back then. MeeGo team went on to form Jolla that makes Sailfish OS and hopefully someday I'll be able to use a Nokia phone that is powered by or can run SFOS.

    Nokia 808 PureView and the Nokia Lumia 1020 are my two other favourites which I consider as the father of modern high resolution camera phones. Really want HMD to try something like the Lumia 1020/808 PureView in terms of cameras on their future flagships.

    3 Most Used apps. Just one!

    I don't really know which 3 apps I use the most but I use Telegram a lot and the other 2 spots will be equally taken by Twitter, Chrome, Instagram or Whatsapp. 😅

    First thing that comes to mind when I think of Nokia phones

    Nokia = Lots and lots of good and happy memories. The moment I here Nokia one thing that comes to my mind is "The phone company I love and trust the most". Nokia stands for solid phones and devices that are built to last. (except a bunch of them from 2018)

    But along with that -

    These days as soon as I think of Nokia phones, my brain automatically triggers software updates, google services and Android smartphone as Google intended it to be. It is just a bit too much of google and less of Nokia in Nokia smartphones launched after mid 2019. Premium build, durability, and more bragging about Nokia products in the marketing has been replaced by marketing of Google services like Google One, Google Assistant, etc. Even many around me assume Nokia phones as budget pixels or google phones. Nokia phones were known for reliability, usability, durability and unique design. These points need to be communicated loudly once again. Nokia Mobile needs an emotional marketing campaign with a human touch to it. They also need to focus on improving the software on their devices.

    Favorite Nokia moment

    I am sure there will be too many but I obviously won't be able to recall all the moments at this moment 😅. Nokia Lumia 808, 920 and 1020 launch events are my faourite along with the Nokia Mobile MWC 2018 event of Nokia 6.1, 7 Plus, 8 Sirocco and Nokia Mobile MWC 2019 launch event for Nokia 9 PureView.

    Another craziest as well as lucky moment for me was when I won the Nokia 9 PureView last year. I was jumping in excitement when I read the email. 😅🤣🙈

    Other moments include reactions of people when they hold the solid Nokia phones in their hands and experience the tough build quality. Seeing people's reaction in public when they see 7 holes at the back of my phone case is another favourite/funny moment for me. 😂😂

    Becoming one of the four Super Users and getting a bit more power to keep the community clean is a Super Favourite moment for me.

    1. Currently using Nokia 7.2 and loving it.

    2. Fav phone?: This itself. By using gcam 7.6, this phone is very enjoyable to use.

    3. Whatsapp, firefox, Sometimes any of games are my must used apps.

    4. "Quality" and "Dependable" are words associated with Nokia phones 😌.

    5. My fav moment was the release if nokia buds. But I want Nokia to release smart bands.

    Hi Laura, I am currently using Nokia 6, and 3 people have Nokia 6 at home.

    There is also the Nokia X2-00, which we enjoy using at home.

    I have 6230i and 6230 and 6300. 6300 does not work.

    I want to explain my favorite Nokia phones with examples. The Nokia 6230i even had voice command, night mode, watching YouTube videos, downloading songs, e-mail. The Hds-3 headset was awesome.

    The 6300 had a futuristic design with its slim aluminum case and red color.

    The X2-00 model with the latest S40 software was absolutely perfect. Night mode and voice commands were removed. WhatsApp, Google Maps, WeChat, Ttpod music player operation, MP4 video support, photo editing etc. The 5.0 megapixel camera is still successful. It marked its time with its dual speakers and built-in FM antenna.

    I wanted to buy a Nokia Lumia 1020, I would buy a Nokia 8, it did not happen either.

    The most important feature of all these devices was that they could be used for many years without any errors with little hardware. They were doing bigger than their height.

    I like Fm Radio,YouTube,Opera.

    I have many memories with Nokia, and I'll tell you about the Hds-3. I copied the Taylor Swift Bad Blood song to the 6230's memory card. When I was a student in high school, one of your friends did not like my phone. I said I would take you to the movies. I wanted him to wear the headset. I turned on the music, at 30 seconds he was startled by the explosion sound. I have observed this situation in many people.

    What Nokia phone are you currently using?

    I'm currently using Nokia 9 PureView.

    Do you have a favorite Nokia phone? And why is it your favorite?

    My favourite one so far is Nokia 5.1 Plus. It feels soooo good in hand. The processor still holds up with help from Android 10. Haptic feedback was surprisingly good in that phone. I hope Nokia launches a phone with similar formfactor sometime.

    What are your 3 most used apps?

    Apart from social media apps 🤗, the ones that I use the most are:

    1. Microsoft Office app: It is an all-in one app that could be used for opening and editing pdf, word, ppt, excel files; also for scanning documents and converting them into editable word documents!
    2. VN video Editor: A simple and free video editing app that has no ads or watermarks or anything.
    3. Files Go App: A lite, clean and essential app from google. Fast file transfer, clean cache, extract zip files and more.

    What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you think about Nokia phones?

    Build Quality! Feels solid in hand. The feel of materials in hand gives a feeling that much effort was put into designing the phones by Nokia. Also the stock Android experience.

    What is your Nokia favorite moment? (A phone release, an event,…)  

    Release of Nokia 9 PureView. Always loved the crazy innovative phones from Nokia. This phone gave me feels of unique old phones from Nokia, always trying to experiment and break smartphone technology and design conventions.

    I turned back to Nokia after almost 7 years, and bought Nokia 7 Plus in 2018. And it is my favorite Nokia phone (even though some shortcomings are there, but this was the perfectly designed phone by HMD Nokia ever).

    I still remember when a friend of mine bought some "x-Me" phone at that time with same processor, and told me that I wasted nearly extra 8-9K when I was getting the same features in the phone that he bought. I said nothing, just removed the back cover, and asked another friend to compare both of our phones side-by-side based on looks, design and usage. And the verdict was... Bhai Nokia 7 Plus is far superior than "x-Me", and worth the price paid. And this is why is the my favorite.

    Classic Design with Superb Durability.

    Seeing my name as a winner of Nokia 9 PureView in the contest held on the Forum. The reason being as for that particular contest, I really worked very hard and gave nearly 50+ hours working on all the images. And to see the hard work bearing positive results is the most satisfying thing.

    I read about 9PV when it was launched. Watched a lot of reviews. And always desired to own it. So thanks to HMD for giving me this opportunity.

    Yes I have and It is Nokia N9 and Lumia 1520 ( Never owned one but used for sometimes)

    Currently using Nokia 8.1

    Favorite Nokia phone is Nokia C2-01 because that's my first phone even though it's stopped working I still have it.

    3 most used apps are Twitter, YouTube, Instagram

    First thing comes to mind is 1100 and the memes about it.

    Hi Laura,

    1. I am currently using Nokia 6.1 plus, love the build quality and glass finish at the back.
    2. My Favorite phone is Nokia Lumia 720 as it was the first Windows phone I had and also the first I purchased from my first salary.
    3. Three most used apps on my current phone are Whatsapp, COD mobile and Instagram
    4. Whenever I think about Nokia first thing which comes to my mind is the logo which used to display on our older Nokia phones (Nokia - Connecting people). Days when Nokia used to rule the mobile market.
    5. I have two Favorite Nokia moment first one is the launch of Lumia 800 as it was a new journey of Nokia ( it was not the right move back then I wished Nokia to select Android) in Windows Phone. Second was the launch of Nokia 6 which was my and Nokia's first Android Phone - this was the phone which introduced me to the world of Android back in 2017.

    My First Touch screen phone - Nokia 5230 Nuron

    My First and only Windows Phone - Nokia Lumia 720

    The nokia lumia 630, is my favorite for its quality, I find it a very good phone as its camera, screen and operating system, it hurts I don't have it anymore but if I had it I would still use it.

    Phone, News, whatsapp, messages

    • What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you think about Nokia phones?

    The durability and quality of the phones, their performance and how long the phone can last in a person's hands despite the years and years that may pass.

    My favorite Nokia Phones are Nokia 1208 (S30 Series), Nokia C3-00 (S40 Series), Nokia E5 (S60v3 Series), Nokia C5-03 (S60v5 Series), Nokia N8 (Symbian 3 Series), Nokia 2720 Flip (KaiOS Phone) and Nokia 4.2 (HMD Phone).

    And I wanted Nokia to be more competitive in launching devices, and to bring more smartphones to Brazil.

    Nokia 8, its favorite because of its Compact design, premium unibody metal, good camera lens and finally this is the only device from HMD which has bootloader unlock for a while

    YouTube, Phone, Twitter


    What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you think about Nokia phones?

    Good outstanding HDR10 pure display, Carl zeiss camera (but within next few months we can see this on vivo also), premium design, worst support.

    When @juho announced bootloader unlock for Nokia 8 because I thought every device will get Bootloader unlock but didnt happened
