Great news for you, the rollout for Android 11 starts now!

To provide a smooth rollout, we dispatch the Update in Waves.

Wave 1 includes:

  • Bahrain
  • Belgium
  • Denmark
  • Egypt
  • Finland
  • France
  • Hong Kong
  • Iceland
  • Iran
  • Iraq
  • Jordan
  • Kuwait
  • Lebanon
  • Libya
  • Lithuania
  • Macau
  • Morocco
  • Norway
  • Oman
  • Pakistan
  • Qatar
  • Saudi Arabia
  • Sweden
  • Tunisia
  • UAE
  • USA
  • Vietnam

10% of these approved markets will receive the update immediately, 50% by Feb 5th, and on Feb 7th, 100% of these markets will have received the Android 11 update.

    Great to hear this.

    Just hoping that unlike previous Android 10 update for most of the smartphones, HMD gives a completely bug-free and thoroughly tested update. Rather than getting the update first, it's getting a bug-free update which is the more (or I'd say ONLY) important thing.

    Waiting for Nokia 9 PV Android 11 bug-free update with improved camera performance.

    Looks like Android 11 either breaks or removes the gesture for accessing notifications using the fingerprint swipe. It worked before the update. 😒

    Just installing Android 11 and in car Android Auto stopped working.

    I was trying everything: clear data, uninstall-reinstall updates, delete registered cars, no chance.

    Can Nokia give a solution?

    Update is available now in my phone but I'm checking first the comments if there's some kind of bugs and glitches. I don't wanna experience again with the previous camera problem.

    After Android 11 update I haven't been able use tethered internet sharing via USB.

    There were some problems with Android 10, but I haven't been able to use USB tethering at all after updating to 11.

    Hotspot works as expected.

    It's already available.

    Don't install if you are using Android Auto. Update is breaking functionality. Tested on two phones and two cars.

    Still waiting…

    Any time schedule for the plans to set a time schedule for announcing the date to inform about the potential release date for the Statement to announce the 2nd wave?


    It’s devastating to be served with this useless information. I demand a more detailed communication. And a punctual Service!


    Please update your Statements more frequently and if you have issues then simply stick to your customers and inform them. It’s no shame to publish precise Details.

    Perkele your really winding me up in the UK Nokia, and I'm a Finn, i can still remember the rubber door stopper days as a kid, so where's my damn R11?.

    Belgian user here, bought my 8.3 fresh from the store exactly a week ago (wednesday 10 feb), system still reports no update to android 11 available. I see in the FAQ that some providers may have extra requirements, I'm using mobile vikings and proximus.

    Hi there,

    got my A11 Update. 2 days ago.

    1. Sadly now Android Auto is not working! and still V. 6.06 instead of 6.1.x
    2. The notification dropdown via fingerprint sensor.
    3. WiFi is disconnecting or massively dropping, if signal is not that good. (still need to double check this)

    Rest is working and stable so far.

    I really need a fix for that.

    In which country and under which operator? Also, your sentence in #2 seems cut off, the dropdown/sensor does what? Thanks

    Hi,

    I'm on Vodafone in Germany.

    Under A10 the fingerprint sensor also was a kind of touchpad. So if the device was looked or your on the homescreen, you could swipe over the fingerprintsensor (form top to buttom) and the notifications bar from above gave you a sneak peak in you missed notifications, like new WA massages etc.

    2nd wave seems to be out by now...

    Received Android 11 today.

    But still no comment on which countries are in the 2nd wave.

    I can also confirm the issue with the swipe-down with the fingerprint-sensor.

    A reply from someone at Nokia on why there are still people from the first wave not getting their update when even the second wave is out, and what they'll do about it (contact net operators that are blocking the update? Who knows what the problem even is, we're blind on our end), would be nice. 😕
