Confirming mobile network coverage issues. Actually, 8.1 was not that great even before Android 11, but now it's got much worse. Last Saturday I had to spend 20 minutes running around a shopping mall to find a tiny spot where I could make a call. At the same time, my father with his very old Nokia button-phone could make calls almost anywhere in the same store. We have the same mobile operator. I tried rebooting, switching between 2G,3G,4G - no changes, the phone drops my calls with "network not available".
That's ridiculous. Nokia, how can your new expensive smartphone have so much worse reception than your old cheap phones? Have you heard about regression testing at all? It's when you compare your new products to your old ones to ensure that the primary functions have not deteriorated. Making phone calls is the primary function of a phone! You can afford bugs in cameras, internet, apps, whatever, but NEVER EVER let your phone call quality get worse than your older models. Someone's life might depend on their ability to make a phone call. You might cause the death of a person who trusted that their new Nokia phone will be at least as good as their old one.
Just don't go there, Nokia. Don't start disconnecting people.
Actually , there might be heating issue which drains extra 🔋 battery, although heating is normal these days #summer so try keeping device locked for a while after charge to let battery temperature drop to normal,. Besides Fast Charging there is no issue with battery drainage , Only Fast Charging is not working properly
That can be true , but sadly it's not , to keep battery temp idle phone keeps switching from rapid charging to normal consistently , but after update it isn't working properly
May be.. but under phone's locked condition I never faced slow charging.. it even shows me charging rapidly and gets charged within max 2 hours.. even I haven't faced any fast drain issues..
Yes they will brother as there are way more missing items in A11 and also contains some minor bugs and needs optimisations to make the device run more smoothly. An MR update is a must one as it is a phase 2 update. But which we are using is sent for customers requirements and validations.
For past on week my Nokia 8.1 restart/switched off device while using video call in whatapps, after restart battery percentage drops and it shows wrong value. I did a factory reset, new issues started to appear, while using wifi and youtube video. phone starts to restarts.
I own a Nokia 8.1 which didn't have any problems till a couple of days back. Now, the phone keeps restarting whenever I listen to an audio via speaker(Whatsapp) or when I scan a book (Adobe Scan) or even when I try to connect to a Wi-Fi. Most of the times, there isn't an issue. But yesterday this was very common and once it got stuck in a bootloop and I had to reset which caused me to lose all data.
Can anyone help me with a solution here. We have lockdown and the nearest care center is 12+ KM away with no way to travel there.
I have tried Factory Reset a couple of times but no luck till now.
Mate, it was a sarcastic comment. While Hmd says it's a stable build, but you, me and everyone who has updated know it is far from the truth. It is definitely not a stable build, feels more like a alpha, beta build.
Anyone using two SIMs? Since Android 11 update, one of the two SIMs (random each time) turns off or at least it's inaccessible until I restart my phone. It happens on random intervals. More frequent lately. I haven't installed anything after I installed and configured all my previously used software after the update hard reset I did.

Actually , music slider works for me on lockscreen , so it's not a issue or major bug

They won't release any MR update or fix any bugs.
HMD are officially done with this phone, they have satisfied the 2 OS upgrades and aren't obligated to do anymore.
You can keep hoping that they will fix it or think realistically.
The 2 is for core OS updates. There will be security patches and also MR releases in the 3rd year as well.
When some phones aren't scheduled to get A11 until Q3 '21, I have no hope of HMD releasing an MR update.
Well let's wait and watch!!
That's upto you mate. However, there is definitely enough chance of at least one MR update for the Nokia 8.1.
Plz i my phone is Nokia 8 how i get update to Android 11
You can't.
anyone facing microphone problem on video calling?
No
There is 4 more SP for 8.1 but I don't think there is going to be a MR update
After Android 11 on my 8.1, my phone restart alone when i use it.
Why I can't see any major differences after the last update to A11 on Nokia 8.1?

Buy a new phone that's only thing you can do right now
You do know you are part of beta tester, right? Phase 1 is releasing beta builds to users.
Well is not a beta phase update. Every one received including me. I am not part of beta programs
