Nokia's phones are arguably overpriced for the specs they offer, but for me the promise of timely updates and pure Android was good enough to stick with them.
Waiting almost one year for the release of Android 11 is simply not acceptable. At this rate I will renew my phone before it happens, and it will probably not be a Nokia.

Maybe he isn't lying and doesn't work for Nokia/hmd and does have no issues with his device (as me) I know of 2 other people with this device and they also have no issues, yes it's unfortunate that you and others do have issues but honestly your rantings are irrational. I am annoyed with the delay of 11 but at the end of the day, there is very little difference between 10 and 11. I certainly won't be throwing toys out of the pram just because of the delay.
That's correct, there aren't that much news in A11 but I'm hoping for better (more adjusted) camera and the new distribution routines for OS patches and updates via Google Play.
It seems only JERKS or fakes, who are getting paid by the competition, would carry on about something so trivial. I wouldn't care if the new update never arrives, my 7.2 is working just fine right now and all my old Nokia's always worked as expected. Since before the year 2000.

I'm sorry it offends you but, appart from the horrible camera bug which I have overcome by using GCam, I do NOT have any other issues with my 7.2
I am merely stating my personal experience with the device. GPS, charging and screen problems have never been a problem.
If you think, like others on here, that you feel the need to rant, then I also have the right to express my own feelings.

I do agree with you regarding Android 11. It should have been released toward the end of 2020.

Too bad the A11 release is delayed, but on the other side, maybe that gives HMD techs few more working hours to iron out some wrinkles...
I'm one of those "chosen ones" with minimal amount of annoyances and bugs on my 7.2 device except the unreliable camera.
The worst period was around X-mas when GPS just died for close to two months...
My son bought a 8.3 recently and IMHO the performance is good and the camera app seems to be better adjusted to hardware than on 7.2.

If HMD keep delaying the update I think 7.2 will not receive the Android 12.
The 7.2 was never destined to get 12.

It's just marketing.
Apparently for HMD, A11 is prioritised only for entry level phones.
So we the buyers became fools for trusting them.
Ditch them, that's the only way out.
