Android 11 roadmap for Nokia phones

For Nokia 1 plus? It'll come soon.

I bought nokia 5.3 way back in 2020 saying android 11 ready, so disappointed with nokia.

The customer service says they will comment only after google releases, which is absolutely rubbish

Yes am also a frustrated Nokia 5.3 user and a long time Nokia fan.

Normally yes...but Xiaomi changed a few things in Miui,so it's not that easy to find that option 🤣 At the moment the only solution is to use a older version of Messenger.

The reason i hate this bubbles:if i start a chat and keyboard covers the conversation...it's not cool not to see what your typing,specially when you're communicating international with distributors 😕 Some misunderstandings are pre-programed (since i use 4 different languages to write) when you don't see what you're writing 🤣🤣🤣

But coming back to topic,what HMD is doing is ridiculous and shows their priority.They said that the reason for delay is because they're not directly involved in Android development... Bullshit,cause if people would go and look at XDA forum they would see,that many made custom rom based on A11 for more phones in shorter time and this aren't paid developer 👎 And since HMD is using a vanilla Android...

I think the reason for the delay is something else:they hope that people don't want to wait till older phones get A11 and buy a new Nokia G/X 🤔 If you compare with the release of A10 (last year they released only refreshes and no new series),then it looks like it could be like that 🤔

Well,in the end i feel sorry for all who trusted HMD and their promises for fast updates 😔 My Nokia 6.1 and 6.2 are back in box in a drawer,i don't use them anymore 👍 I'm happy with the Poco and if friends or family ask me which phone i recommend,i don't say Nokia anymore...i tell them to buy Xiaomi/Redmi/Pocophone and enjoy beautiful MIUI ❤️

Will these dates be definitive? The Nokia 5.3 upgrade was moved from Q1 to Q2.

I'm pretty confident that they won't be able to update all five remaining phones in the next 12 working days of Q2.

With the 7.2 now 6 months past the original A11 scheduled release and 3 months out of date on security patches, it's safe to say i won't be buying any more Nokias.

They really are just a shell of their former self and have only kept the worst characteristics of their past.

Q4 2020- No Android11

Q1 2021- No Android11

Q2 2021

Today's June 16th and the great HMD's Nokia 5.3, still on A10 with April Security Patch.

Looks like HMD is making sure to lose their credibility with the customers and fans around the world.

No this month also, only May security patch.

May be to Q4 even.

So do you think that X and G series are worth for the price they are selling. I don't think so. X series may be but G series no way. They've used entry level Mediatek processors.

What they have done with the older models with regards to OS upgrades will always be remembered.

What I believe is that now everyone will think twice or thrice before even thinking of buying a Nokia phone again.

Na man , for nokia 1. Bought it q4 2019. Do they do based on release date? If they do, then why they didn't recall 2018 n1 since they offer 2yr android and 3yr security patch? I heard they do on based on date of purchase. It's very stupid and deceiving if they set timeline based of release date and doesn't even recall. Maybe my head is on sand in this matter.
