I got the update of Android 11 in India, but for some reason I couldn't download it. And now I am not getting the update of Android 11.
This Android 11 update for Nokia 7.2 is full of bugs.
1. Phone stop charging. It charges only after restarting the phone.
2. Contextual search missing for Google Translate, dictionary, etc. in other apps.
3. 2 button navigation removed which is easier to use than 3 button navigation.
4. Blank random photos are appearing in the Google photos gallery.
5. Phone is hanging and lagging.
6. Home screen wallpaper takes time to load after restarting the phone. Sometimes, the home screen displays one wallpaper on the top half screen while another wallpaper on the bottom half screen.
HMD Global is ruining Nokia's legacy.
No, HMD/Nokia's Android 11 has many problems. With the Pixel 5, I had no problems with Android 11, nor with Android 12.
The problem is HMD/Nokia! Therefore, no one should buy a device from HMD/Nokia in the future. They should first bring all existing devices into a usable condition and not constantly throw new models onto the market!
HMD Nokia phone buyers will always blame themselves for buying nokia phone . Buying a Nokia phone like a biggest mistake in Life .
Luckily still on android 10. Let them fix these issues first. Then I will update to android 11. Located in the Netherlands.
I've just downloaded Battery recovery from Google play store & ran it, showed it fixed a couple of errors? I'll give it a test see how it goes, hopefully it fixed the fault.
Luckily is my 7.2 turned off and lying in a drawer, and as it looks righ now it'll stay there...
This app fixes nothing, had to reboot again this morning, a waste of time!
This app didn't work for me, any update on how it's going for you?🧐
These repair apps are all a bit of a con, at best they can clear the calibration stuff. Read about it herehttps://www.androidpolice.com/2015/01/20/facepalm-battery-life-repair-selling-placebo-effect-3-play-store/
There are only a few months left until the device is EOL. Will HMD make it by then? As a reminder, the 7.2 EOL is 22.09.2022! Android 13 is more likely to arrive - not for the 7.2, of course...!
But then it's not even an expensive paperweight...
But thats were I put latest "reserves" before they go to "final sleep"...
When I updated andoid 11 than battery 🔋 not charging without restart phone. This is big problem
When will this freaking Android 11 be released for Iran? 😑
After android 11 update , Nokia 7.2 is not detecting charging (Phone Restart is required everytime) and WiFi is dropped frequently ( not stable connectivity ). When this is going to be fixed or what ia the way back to Have android 10 until bugs are not getting fixed.
I am getting issue regarding Wi-Fi also. Connection getting dropped frequently then again up n running . Mostly down 😂😂😂😂
What a day you fell on, Nokia! We, the customers, only want regular software support from you, no more!
I had a chat with Nokia regaring the issue. Not a very good answer but here it is.
Nokia: Hello! Welcome to Nokia Mobile Care!
My name is Mario and I will be glad to help you!
Me: Hi! Im having issue charging my phone. I need to restart it every time before charging.
Also, video recordings are not being saved. Ive seen alot of people having the same issue in your forums. This is because android 11.
When is this going to be fixed?
Nokia: Our developers are doing their best to fix that issue. Please be patient and wait for the fix
For now we don't have a certain date. we are aware for that issue.
Me: So there will be a fix?
You can understand you have rolled out a buggy release right?
So have you made any efforts to roll back this update or to fix it?
Or you are just another ignorant like the service executive you guys have trained?😑😑😡
Absolutely pathetic experience from Nokia. I would make sure ANYONE from my connection doesn't ever considers buying a Nokia device.
I'm making the below attached screenshot of the chat with your executive, guys make this viral on other social media if you can please..
Haha, "DO YOU KNOW WHOIAM!?"
Just a way to make things serious..🙂
Nokia technical support in all its glory:
Rohan34 (to Nokia Tech): "Do you know who I am?"
Nokia Tech (to Rohan34): "Do YOU know who I am?"
Nokia Tech: "Good!" [Click - hangs up on call]
Same Headache is also here.
Indeed. The concept of forced updates is rather bad. Like your device is updated without asking you and then there are problems. Whoever awesome person thought it was a good idea should be awarded -_- Don't force something on the users without:
a. testing it properly
b. offering users a way to go back to the previous version and stay there in case they do not like whatever new you did.
Making that viral? for what? Everybody gets to hear the same. That's everybody's story xD
And I would not blame either Dipankar or the Chat support. It is the management that is making bad decisions. None of the above can do anything wrt what has happened. I'd recommend just constantly sending in emails or texts so that the managers and supervisors of the chat and email platforms can forward the same to the managers who make the decisions about updates. And maybe then they'll roll out a fix faster.
Otherwise, it is will be easy 3 months before a fix will be issued (if at all).
Are you saying that HMD management isn't aware of the poor experience 7.2 users have with this phone? It certainly looks like they don't care - at all - about brand reputation.
Late in 2019 I would have considered using Nokia handsets in an enterprise environment, now I'm going to stay away as far as possible - and I probably won't be the only one to do so.
I see that after android 11 upgrade, battery keeps much longer.
Does anyone else experiencing same?
When in The Netherland, promised im Q3!!!!!!!!!
I have charging and camera problem in my Nokia 7.2. I received a lot of info from Nokia chat channel but those doesn't help.
Has somebody tried hard reset?
Has somebody get any info how Nokia/HMD will fix our problems?
