unable to charge from time to time after Android 11 upgrade

Can a turned off phone be charged though? Everyone's been talking about rebooting, not turning off to charge.

If you reboot or power off it will only work for a short time. But if you apply my method, it will be permanently fixed. So please give it a try on your Nokia 7.2 phone.

Hey same problem I am also facing. This get temporary resolved only after restart the phone.

Does anybody know permanent fix?

Nokia please fix this as early as possible.

Updated to Android 11 yesterday, today evening I plug my phone to charge and get a minor panic attack when the charging rate is reported as 0. I try different sources (Wall, power bank) and cables with no success.

Rebooted the phone after finding this thread, and the device charges again (until, I assume, it doesn't anymore).

I am straight up amazed as to how this passes testing. Fix this asap. Band aid solutions that have been offered in this thread are nice for experienced users but normal people are going to think their phone is broken. And I suspect they wont buy a new one from you if it borks like that.

I've done this & it didn't work, drained the battery to 0% & then charged to 100% whilst turned off. It was charging ok last night but again this morning I'm getting the error message, plugged in but unable to charge at this time.

Obviously HMD have not tested this version on Android 11 before they rolled it out, what a shambles.😬😕

Same problem here. Phone will not charge wihtout a reboot. Phone even says not charging. This has to be starting of the downfall for Nokia. I will for sure NEVER buy a Nokia phone like ever again. How did this even get passed testing phase phase, seriously.

Did nokia just rolled out an update just to "Look cool"? not caring at all about their devices?

This is what I have tested so far. Phone was at 40% and I plugged it in, not charging. With powercable attached I rebooted the phone and now it charges.-This is the only solution I have found to this problem.

For me in A11, the front camera was not working, video was not saving nor were AR services available. I didn't have the charging problem though.

My phone Nokia 6.2 is not charging after updation of android 11 . Every time I need to reboot the phone connected charger to increase the charging percentage.

Same problem here with my Nokia 6.2. Tryed various chargers and cables but after half a day, it just stops working and I have to reboot the phone.

Additionally, the default camera App is not able to record videos anymore.

This software issue just adds to all the hardware issues I had with two phones of this type. This Nokia is the absolute worst phone I ever owned.

Yeah, this is rather ridiculous... after the Android 11 "upgrade" plugging the phone (6.2) into the charger will maintain battery level, but not charge it until I reboot the phone. Pain in the rear.

I had the same issue of Nokia 7.2 not charging after latest Android update, unless I switched the phone off.

I was adviced by Nokia customer care to let the battery fall until 5%, then charge the phone *in safe mode* until 100%. This far it seems to have worked.

(Would have thought Nokia could share the advice here, too.)

This does not work, technical advice given by a HMD employee reading from a script, they really have not got a clue, a fix needs to be rolled out OTA asap instead of fobbing people off with pointless advice that does not work!
