[23.12.2021: Wave 2 live] Android 12 on Nokia X20
Update:
We are now rolling out Wave 2 of the Android 12 update for the Nokia X20.
Wave 2 goes out to all remaining regions and channels that have ranged the device except the following that have not yet approved the release:
- Australia
- Brazil
- Bulgaria
- Colombia Claro
- Germany
- Ireland Eir Ireland
- Poland
- Slovenia
- UK O2 UK
All users in the approved markets will receive the update by December 25.

Hello Mikko, could you please help me to confirm if "wallpapers" is working correctly? Just hold a blank area at home screen and choose "wallpapers". I will receive a message saying "app isn't installed"... Also the themed icon option is missing.

Hi, I can confirm that trying to change the wallpaper from the home screen doesn't work, it says app not installed. I've also tried to clear the cache and data. The only way I could change the wallpaper was from settings. The themmed icon option is not included, maybe they will bring it in the next update

The second wave of Android 11 update for Nokia 7.2 has not been released yet. Please release the Android 11 bug-free update.
It's embarrassing that 7.2 phones have either not been updated or have a charging problem after the update

Please confirm that does this upgrade includes Material U design/themes or not?

It includes Material U deisgn. However, the themed icon function is not included.

Hopefully wave 2 will be soon and the build will be stable and not have too many bugs.

Just a heads up. I have factory reset the device and now the wallpapers are functioning properly, the animations as well. So a factory reset solved everything

It is shameful. You have not yet released Android 11 for all Nokia 6.2 and 7.2 phones, but you are talking about Android 12.
Maybe it does not matter to you that you have customers!

Good for you X20 users. Enjoy your "bugless" Android 12. Because your next OS update will be Android 13, in about 2-3 years, like the 6.2 and 7.2 users! 😅
Be not fooled. Your fate is the same like all other old Nokia users! You get those promised timely updates because your phone is a new model. As soon as Nokia releases a new series, you'll be history...

@Sebastian Bratoiu When you are referring to the animations working properly, are you talking about the unlock and locking animations?
Because in my case these are not being displayed like on the Android 12 version Google is using on the Pixel line-up.
On other problem I noticed is that my Gboard does not adapt to the material you coloring. I am a beta tester however. Does anyone else have the same problem?

Yes, I'm referring to all the animations, not only locking and unlocking the phone but closing and opening apps as well. Gboard doesn't apply the material you theme unfortunately. Besides this I couldn't find any other issues.

It's the same for me. I can't launch wallpapers app from the "desktop".

I am glad to see Nokia living up to expectation but please anyone, I am still running Android 12 developer preview, when will I receive this official Android 12 update, I am from Africa.The only African country in wave 1 is Egypt.

Germany is in wave 1. Everybody gets the update except the users with the preview. We helped test it and now there is not even a statement regarding updates for us...
Nokia is really living up to my expectations.
