Every day we get blown away by the amazing #ShotOnNokia photos and videos. We love having the opportunity to see what this amazing Nokia phones community is creating, and this month behind the camera, we have Victor, @belon1986.
Using his Nokia 8.1, he’s been able to capture some stunning shots and we got the chance to catch up with him about his process.
How long have you been interested in photography?
I picked up photography as a hobby in 2009 whilst studying at university. In 2013, I decided to stop using my professional camera and focus on Mobile Photography using the Nokia devices and I haven’t looked back since.
What's your favorite part about photography?
My favourite part of photography is how every photographer can produce different results when shooting the same scene because of the different angles they shoot at & post-editing. It helps showcase the role creativity plays.
Among your work, which one is your favourite? Why?
It has to be this shot I took at Singapore's Changi airport. This photo combines a few of my favorite elements: the crystal ball, using reflections, the upside-down composition, and the full utilization of frame.
What is the one thing you wish you knew when you started taking photos?
Photo editing, which I am still exploring & learning day by day. With photo editing, you can give every photo a new look simply by cropping, rotating, and editing colour tones.
What advice would you give to aspiring photographers?
My advice would be to study shots from different photographers to get inspiration. Of course, I am not encouraging imitation here, but there’s so much to get inspired by that can be found on Instagram. By referring to a great example, you might be able to add to your own idea and start establishing your own style.
If you’re equally as inspired by Victor as we are and want to be featured in our next #ShotOnNokia Spotlight, comment below and tell us your story.

@dipankar paul sir😊
This is something new and interesting... A lot of good budding mobile photographers from whom I learn and acknowledge (including ones on this forum), need a platform to share their stories, and this is definitely a great place for Nokiagraphers...
How long have you been interested in photography?
It started in 2014 when I had Nokia Asha 502 and wanted to capture everything in this world. It got strengthened further with Lumia 535 as social media emerged and made photography a hobby for me and then a passion with Nokia 7 Plus.

What's your favorite part about photography?
I think before clicking the shutter and after setting the focus on the subject, there lies a moment that totally belongs to a photographer, and I live it and that is my favorite part in the whole process.

Among your work, which one is your favorite? Why?
Whichever the next I'll click make will be my favorite one and that's how I get detached from last and give my best in the next with a feeling of last.

#ShotOnNokia Seven Plus f/1.75 1/500 4.28mm ISO 200
What is the one thing you wish you knew when you started taking photos?
That a picture is firstly created, visioned in mind but not in the camera. It all depends on what a photographer thinks and clicks. The camera is a just medium to prove what you're intending to create.

What advice would you give to aspiring photographers?
I would like to say that enjoy the process to its fullest of capturing a photograph till it is been showcased. Because when you'll enjoy, then only you'll be able to work beyond the box to create something unique and art is all about it.
