I don't understand the point scoring system, I think it changed about two years ago. If it had carried on the way it was I think you would have easily had 5000 points by now, because points are typically awarded for activity.
Hi @madbilly.. Congrats on finally becoming one of the few in the 5k points club ๐
BTW answering questions.. That nobody asks, and when they ask, they don't mark it a valid response as an answer and just disappear ๐คญ These days the community is... Ignored. I miss @HMDLaura@jumble121 ๐ฅบ No new content, no fixes, no changes.
Yeah, okay, answering questions is only worthwhile for points if people mark them as correct. Super-users can mark answers, but I don't want to spend my time reading all of your answers and marking them correct! ๐คฃ
I miss the old days too, when at least one person in HMD gave a fig about the forums. Now the only person is @dipankar paul and realistically he doesn't have time to spend with us alongside everything else he is doing. I remember that HMD did advertise for a "community manager" or something over a year ago, and I think that position was filled by Francezka who we've seen less times that I've got fingers, I think. Obviously too busy with that other community, the one they don't control at all, on social media.
Well, well even I'm not willing to do that for myself, I do understand your unwillingness haha. It is fine @madbilly, the points aren't gonna give me that 4th or 5th star anyways and with no special badges, it technically makes no difference. But maybe some day if they make a hall of fame, we will feature there somehwere ๐
We did get a new person (@srijanbhatia) as the community manager (IDK if global or India specific), but yet not with the kind of engagement that I expect. Maybe the bigger problem is lack of consitency - their do once and forget approach. And I wouldn't blame them alone, they did some QnAs but then the people who were supposed to answer appeared too late and then never appeared again.

The big point scoring is
By answering questions! ๐
But I think you knew that already!
Cheers ๐

Anyway, have some points @HMDLaura and @jumble121, for old times sake ๐
