    Good catch, didn't notice the date. Looks like they indeed messed up again and pushed a version not meant for Nokia 8.

    Good catch, cri347, I noticed the date but didn't think much of it. It is the same app after all.

    Nokia and HMD have done the stupid thing. They do not test app before releasing the update. I think they despise those who are using nokia 8 - a test product of them

    I have TA-1004 and got ver. 85.9.1124.31, I had rolled back from the broken update from august.

    Have not found any faults, panorama works, monochrome works, colour works, col/mon works,  dual-sight works and pip works and video works.

    Have not tested all possibilities.

    In what region do you live? Even if I rolled back I still get the broken one

    The same as Alberto. In Italy on TA-1004 still the broken version.

    Did he restart the phone after roll-back before downloading again ? (I know it is the normal thing to do, but I have forgotten restarting a lot of times before and had problems)

    The model TA-1004 in Slovakia is a bad version.

    I restarted after roll-back but nothing changed. Anyways, I will use the factory version and will wait until a new working version appears

    Have the same version as you. 

    Found an issue with autofocus. It was mentioned earlier in this topic. its when you tap on the screen to focus on object, and after few seconds focus is automatically made in the cented of the screen.

    You can use ES FIle Explorer. 

    In home screen of ES FIle Explorer you can see "APP" 

    In "APP" you can select application and backup it.

    After rebooting the phone I was notified for the "good" version (85..., much smaller size). I have the dual SIM eu version and have not downloaded or installed the "bad" update

    How can you get the version 85? I didn't installed the 90 one and even after reboot I still can't get it. I even tried deleting cache for Google Play Store

    It just installed from the play store for me, force closes when choosing manual mode. You need to reset settings in the app to stop this happening. It still has eis stabilisation enabled in video mode which you can't disavle unless you shoot video in 4k uhd.

    I installed the apk from Galemman, it's not the new version with AR Sticker and the carousel interface, it's the apk of the Pro Camera update, but with a newer version number. Maybe they pushed this update for rollback the camera to the user that installed the broken version.

    I havea TA-1012 showing a 247MB update ready to install. I think this is the bad update, right?

    this is strange both my wife and myself have ta-1012 today I got the 76mb update and everything works perfectly, so tonight I checked my wifes phone to see if it had updated but it hadn't so let it check and only the 217 update appeared so I let it update and to my surprise everything works perfectly, so let my phone check for another update but nothing, so cant figure out why although we are both on ta-1012 we have got different updates

    Yes the update I have showing is v90.something, released 21st August, the previous "bad" update re released. This is so poor; but why?!

    Any idea if I update and rollback if I'll then get the good update available? I might try out just to see...

    Bad update. They just pushed the preview update for us. Nothing change. They never hear feedback from us.

    Yesterday I was being presented with a 247MB camera update. I dd not intall it. Today I am being presented with a 61MB camera update. I'm not going to intall that either.


    HMD, sort yourselves and this incompetent mess out

    NOW i have a 67mb update, but v85.something, updated 4th September.
