A few days ago i update my device to Android 8.1.0 and since then the battery lasts much less and the screen heats up a lot. Even without the wifi and mobile data. If any of you guys could help me, i'd greatly appreciate it.
Same issue with last Oreo 8.1 update. Now the battery is draining from 100% to 30% in about 10 hours without using the phone (no apps installed/used). Need a quick fix as soon as possible...
After 8.1 update, battery is draining rapidly. Now needs a full time separate charger. Should be solved by Nokia/Google (Android) because it is an android one device.
Could be there are more apps running? I'm on 8.1 now too. Under 8.0 I had apps getting killed that I did not want to get killed, so did some hacking to stop that happening. I've read that in that respect, 8.1 is better that 8.0 - fewer apps getting killed off. End result = more apps = more battery usage? I think that is what I have noticed anyway, but too soon to tell for sure.
Yes. I'm also facing the rapid battery draining after 8.1.0 ! On 8.0 battery life lasted about 2days with medium usage, but now it doesn't even last for a single day! Even Standby is also eating up battery heavily than 8.0
My Nokia 3.1 after update to 8.1.0 it's draining battery like anything. In idle it drains 1% of charge . battery backup sucks . After full charge Playing a pubg game for 2-3 hours will empty the battery. Is this battery draining issue is there in all Nokia 3.1 phones (8.1.0) .if yes quick reply. And also we ask Nokia developers to solve this issue as soon as possible.
Could you please tell us the variant? I've got TA-1063 with October security patch build 00WW_0_46E_SP02 still on Android 8.0 (no 8.1). Pls observe that this build is stated on Nokia changelog page as Oreo 8.1 but it is not...October security patch has been distribuited on Oreo 8.0 as of today in the first few days of October, at least for my variant (dual sim european market). I'm located in Italy
I'm negatively impressed!!! Same model as mine...second maintenance release for Oreo 8.1....but not yet rolled out in some countries like mine....it can't be a staged rollout that took so long! It should be an issue on the backend side. It could not be a carrier certification issue at all too since I can't read about Oreo 8.1 on TA-1063 in Italy too.
At least some one @Nokia could have a clear statement after more than one month (near two months really).
I am on 8.1 but with september security patch. The batery is very bad, during night it drains about 30%... With everything off wi fi mobile data Bluetooth etc. Fix that nokia

I had the same problem with the batery for 2 months, I think. My advice is to simply restart your Nokia and do not forget to lock the phone from the power button every time you use it, or sometimes in 1 day. I think the phone don't entry in stand by so you have to put it from the button. In this way I solved my problem, probably will help you. Peace! and love your Nokia, it's a good smartphone.
