Still no sign of Android 9, or December patch for my TA-1100, on 3/UK. Very disappointed to put it mildly.
I appreciate that Nokia have different builds, and want to release patches in a controlled manner that avoids build issues and overloading their infrastructure. The lack of prompt Security patches for those on delayed upgrade paths is a VERY poor decision, and the total lack of information is also poor.
All this implies is a lack of clear management, or in other words managed chaos.
Hi ikijibiki, Did you update from 8.1 to 9.0 (V3.45A), looking at Update size: 1318.5 MB ? When I update mine from 9.0 (V3.39A) to 9.0(V3.45A) Update size was 139.8 MB , as shown on image below:
Yes, I updated from Oreo v 8.1, October security update. And so, suddenly I'm all up to date.

It seems they have different update paths within countries too. Some in the Netherlands already received their update. Mine is still ‘up to date’ on 8.1...
I think we have to be
patient, not everything depends on Nokia, others OEMs are involved in this
process as well e.g Qualcomm (closed-source components), carriers, Google and so on… There are security vulnerabilities that affecting
different components like Framework, Media Framework, System, Kernel
components, Qualcomm components, Qualcomm closed-source components, etc…for
additional info please refer to Android Security Bulletins – AOSP. My opinion
is “be patient” and soon or later, you will get a monthly security update, if don’t
and your device is not rooted or modified, please feel free to contact Nokia
support, especially if you are running critical production applications
on your Nokia device and need to patch it ASAP to comply with your company security standards.
Additional Nokia 7.1 has
few models like TA-1085 / TA-1095 / TA-1096 / TA-1100 … and may have different hardware
versions, on other hand some people are updating from 8.1 Oreo to 9.0 PIE
December security patch (V3.45A), others from November security patch Android 9
PIE (V3.39A) to December Android 9 PIE (V3.45A), this need to be taken into
consideration as well.
For the impatient, here is the link to Google security patch 2018-12 (V3.45A):

Good Luck and Have Fun with your Nokia devices
Thank you very much. The OTA worked. Now my TA-1100 ,in UK now with latest pie build v3.45A and Dec security update.
Tethering & Portable Hotspot feature is not available in 7.1 (after updated to Android 9.0 pie). In view of this, I am not able to connect my mobile date to my PC without usb cable??
In my previous phone (Gionee), go to setting, there will be a topic as ''More''. Click the 'More' it will take to other page which have 'Tethering & Portable hotspot' among other items.
Click on 'Tethering & Portable hotspot'' it will take to you to next page with:
WLAN Hotspot USB Tethering Bluetooth Tethering Hotspot & Tethering settings
Then click on to ''WLAN Hotspot'' .we will get the portable hotspot( mobile data connected to PC)
Whereas in Nokia 7.1
Go to Network & Internet, we get items like:
WIFI Hotspot USB Tethering Bluetooth tethering
which means the 'Tethering & Portable hotspot'' is missing in 7.1 handset
The topic ''More'' is missing here.!!!
How to get this portable hotspot feature on Nokia 7.1 ???
For a long time, we are using a Nokia ... since schools 1997 and more. but now Nokia come up with new devices ... going Nokia forward.... we love to put strong lights in the front & rear camera..
TA1100 on three UK. I updated to pie shortly after getting the phone late November using the VPN method. Received v3.45 with Dec secuisec patch OTA last night (no VPN etc now)
I've just received a notification that the update is available (UK), but I'm nervous about installing it. I'd be grateful if other users could confirm that it's stable on the 7.1. A couple of users elsewhere are reporting overheating, and when the update first appeared in November there were several reports of bricking. Has this issue been sorted out?

I can confirm that from my perspective is it is a great release, but still early days.
Performance has definitely improved. The only negatives where the usual panics about Standard or Evie desktops, and re-connecting my Garmin watch.
Even after Android 9 update, still unable to adopt SD card as internal storage. Will this feature be activated? Plus palm rejection still sucks... I'm very disappointed with this device

Unfortunate way, the update came as such a surprise that unfortunately I don't have the link-sorry

But not volte sport with Idea Volte.
Please give update with Idea Volte.
Does anyone know what UK networks support the OTA, or when 3 connected phones will be upgraded?
Vast improvement, the November security patch 10 days ago vastly improved the phone, removing many lags and delays.
This mornings upgrade to Android Pie and December patch have further improved performance to very acceptable.
Well done Nokia, but please next time publish an expected release schedule and keep it up to date as things change.
