    There are 3 bugs, but there is a solution for 2 of them. 
    1. In standard photo mode if you want to use flash always and set it "ON", the camera will never make a photo. If you want to force the use of flash you have to go in manual mode.
    In standard photo mode it has to be on Auto.

    2. When it is very dark around you and you go to make a video the display becomes almost black you can't see anything. You have to go to the last taken photo and in 1-2 seconds to return and it works. Next to the shutter button is a circle of the last taken, just click on it and in few seconds return to camera. This is only needed when it's very dark around you. 

    3. The last found from me bug bug is that you can't make a selfie with the front camera with flash. It always has to be set to off.
    I have already installed a new HMD camera application.
    Two more thing I noticed that the PRO mode does not work by pulling the shutter and Live Broadcast is missing.

    No Pro Mode, because you have manual mode. About live broadcast I don't care. Never used.
    Take a look about the information in Play store. Both options you mentioned are supposed to be there, but why they are missing I don't know.
    Just test the camera and share please what you think.

    Agreed but you can use this port till they come out with the new camera. Its very good i tried it too.

    Did any of you have trouble installing that camera app? Or trouble using it?

    Also if i understood correctly, it will actually overwrite the current stock camera app? I'm wondering whether i could revert it to the current stock app if it will misbehave. I'll try to look for the link to the app and try it, the current app is a POS anyway.

    So, I've installed that thing, seems promising, but crashes when i try to use some of those "stickers" or whatever they are. Anyway, I'll get back after proper testing.

    I think, in case it doesn't work you can "deactivate" the new one and it will be replaced with the standard app ...

    Yes, I've noticed that i have the "disable" option instead of uninstall. No major problems so far, but only played with it for a few seconds. I'll dig into it later. The first thing that i noticed is that there's no optical stabilization

    Yes, this is actually installed as a update to the stock camera. You can install it and will return to the stock camera. 

    Just remember, when you want to use flash always and turn it ON, you have to go to manual mode. In standard mode it doesn't want to take photos. In standard mode it always has to be on AUTO.

    Also, sometimes, especially when it's dark around you, when you switch to video mode or slow mo, the screen gets very dark. To avoid this just go to the last photo or video and go back to the camera and everything is perfect.

    There's some kind of smooth "inertia" on the viewfinder (screen) with OIS, whereas with that "new" camera (which is built for non-Zeiss camera modules), does not support OIS, the movement is sudden, no smooth stop. Sorry, I don't know how to properly explain

    I don't think so. Optical stabilization always work. I'm sure.

    It feels different from the native stock app, au least for me. There's no smooth, transitional stop when you move the phone and suddenly stop. It may have electronic stabilization, i don't know for sure. Ofcourse, don't take my words for granted, I'm just saying what i see/feel on my device 😄

    Hmmm … I don't see any difference between the viewfinder images

    It's maybe even the stock camera for Nokia 8.1.

    The above examples were shot in the default (normal) camera mode with both apps, also both set to "auto" for everything, including flash. I did not compare it to "night sight", although I'd love to be surprised by hmd by actually achieving comparable results to Google's night sight. We fully deserve it, at least as a compensation for the misery they put us through.

    HMD stock camera's (or any other brand's) photos in dark environment with flash cannot be compared to Google's Night Sight. Night sight is app-based tech of Google and it's one of the most innovative software development of 2018. (As per xda)
    I hope HMD and Zeiss comes with something extraordinary to compete with others. (Not like dual-sight gimmick)

    I am using this one: MGC_6.1.021_BSG_Arnova-based_v.1.2_TlnNeun.apk and did some adjustments in accordance with some post on reddit. This works pretty well for me in the field of low light photgraphy without using flash. I did not compare photos in bright conditions but I assume, that this isn't a problem.

    My gcam-settings:

    Settings > Advanced > Libs: Stock by Google

    Maybe this is usefull for others.

    I made some shots for comparison:
    1. Stock Camera in Auto Mode
    2. Stock Camera in Pro Mode with ISO 800 and 1/2 s exposure time
    3. GCam in Auto Mode (Camera)

    The first is obviously the worst shot, while beeing pretty sharp in lacks in brightness and saturation (a lot!).
    The second one is the best i could manage tho shoot in pro mode. It's not bad either, having some noise but also a lot of detail and most accurate at colors. Anyway, having exposure time set to 1/2 s you'll need some steady hand to avoid to much blur and therefore it is not so usefull for everyday's shot.
    For the GCam I think it did a pretty good job, having less noise than the others but beeing still very sharp. You can see the algorithms magic getting into trouble when you look closer at the cover of the vacuum cleaner (makita). But still, I can live with that.

    This new HMD camera may seem usable in low light with flash, but from what I've noticed it's only for subjects situated at most a few metres away, within the effective range of the flash. Any farther and it still struggles to even capture contours or such vague hints of the farther subjects
