Android Pie re-eneables Miracast

Hello everyone!

In case you didn't know, Google disabled Miracast so it works with their products only since Android 5. Now it's re-enabled after updating to Android Pie.

Manufactures such as Samsung, LG and Sony added it to their phones, but Nokia didn't which was very very frustrating. But now since it's enabled natively, you can use it.

Post upgrade to Pie, my Sirocco can cast its screen wirelessly on Sony Bravia W700C natively, which till date was impossible. Pleasant surprise! :)

@scien that's strange, Miracast should work on Android 9. Have you contacted support directly about this?

:D that's sounds like a common problem people find with support unfortunately.
  • Miracast work perfect on my phone after update to Pie. You can try factory reset to see if will work then.
