I took a Picture - 10 Year Challenge Edition

Hi guys,

We’re sure you might have seen the 10 Year Challenge making its way around the internet with people sharing pictures of themselves from 10 years ago compared to how they look now. It’s a fun challenge that we thought we’d get involved with.

Of course, with this being the Nokia phones community we couldn’t just ask you to share pictures of yourself from 10 years ago. We’re instead asking you to share pictures of your phone from 10 years ago and of your Nokia phone now. 

You can even just let us know which phone you used to use and which one you use today. Whichever the reason for your changes in phone we want to see the differences that have come about!

    The phone I had 10 years ago was the Nokia E63 and now I have a Nokia 8. The E63 was my first smartphone. I bought a Nokia Bluetooth GPS so I could use the Nokia Maps  on the E63 as  sat Nav  😁

    I still have my Nokia 3110c which I got in 2009. Exactly 10 years it is, can't believe! Has the 10year challenge been made for me :tongue:
    Currently using my Nokia 6.1 plus and very happy with it. :smile:

    10 years ago, I had a LG RD6600 (LG Shine) I purchased in 2008. It was followed by a Samsung Metro, Nokia 5233, Nokia C6-00, Nokia Lumia 625, Microsoft Lumia 640, Nokia 6 and now a Nokia 7 plus.

    10 Year Challenge

    My first phone was NOKIA 1600... Which I was given when I started my coaching classes in 2008.
    I then purchased NOKIA 5235 in 2010 and also used it when I started my college in 2011... I must admit that the 2MP Camera of Nokia 5235 was probably the best at that time. Many of my friends were having phones, but I guess, mine was better in terms of camera. I still remember playing games during boring lectures on my Nokia 5235.
    Both of them are still with me, and ARE RUNNING LIKE A CHARM...

    I retired my Nokia 5235 in 2012 when the Symbian OS became obsolete in the rising crowd of Android users.
    I bought Samsung Galaxy S Advance in 2012, which I used till 2015.
    In 2015, I then went for Samsung Galaxy A7, which I am using till now as it is working flawlessly even after 4 years.
     
    And then in 2018, I bought NOKIA 7 PLUS...

    (Although about which I think I had made a mistake by going with the brand name and the Android One program offering, as the Nokia is now having the attitude of LAUNCH-&-FORGET... No improvements in the camera even when the phone is nearing to 1 year of its launch... Highly unsatisfied... Since, even after tweeting many times, there were no responses other than those cliche automated responses, I have now lost all hopes that there will be any kind of improvements in the future.
    Just yesterday I took images in a small family gathering at my home, and they were "DISASTROUS". I took some images with my 4 year old Samsung, and even with an old hardware, the images were way better than this Nokia 7 Plus.
    So overall, I think I had wasted my father's money on this phone, which I have to use for the next 2-3 years to get a return for what I have paid. I was indeed a Nokia fan, but now, I think, its no more. I am regretting my decision.)

    THANKS NOKIA for such great devices in my school days.

    But in future, DO NOT DITCH YOUR FANS LIKE THIS. Please understand that not everyone is rich enough to afford a good phone. People "INVEST" in their phones when they go for reputed brands. So please, provide better support and value for money.

    No pic but 2010 i had a nokia x2-02 2012 nokia asha 311 2017 nokia 5 gave my girlfriend then in 2018 bought another nokia 5 which am using till now.😁
