When it comes to buying a new phone everyone always has their own preferences when it comes to finding the right device for them. For some it’s all about the quality of the camera. Getting that perfect shot whilst out and about is where the priority lies. For others, it’s all about having the fastest performing device out there.
Others simply just want a phone that has a reliable battery and the ability to make a lot of voice calls without worrying about having to charge their phone
Whichever feature you look for most in a phone, we want to find out what was the most popular amongst all of you in our community. Are you looking for a phone with lots of storage? What about the extra battery life?

I choose to vote for Software in this poll as I consider this feature to be the top priority when buying a new device. Rest I would say i can compromise a bit, if not much, for consideration.
In summary a device with the best software experience, refreshing design, decent performance, good battery life, fine camera, medium storage, etc. would be my pick.
1.Camera Quality(I prefer Natural Images)
2.Performance(Normal Activity and Games)
3.Battery Life(1 day is sufficient for me)
4.Design(Aluminum 8000 Series Block)
5.Software(Prefer Only Stock Android)
But when there is no battery life then I go for performance

second performance
But the feature I would really love to have in a phone is water-resistance. Having lost a phone to water damage already, It would be a great relief to have a phone which can survive drops in water.
The camera is what I value most about a smartphone, BUT the software is the first thing I look at. Because I HATE stock Android.
Allow me to explain: I value camera quality a lot. HOWEVER, nowadays it's very easy to find a smartphone with a great camera, specially in the tier I buy - premium. No matter if I buy a Samsung flagship or a Huawei flagship, I know I will get a great and versatile camera. So it's not a differentiating factor strong enough to make me put up with software I hate to use.
Therefore, my first concern when choosing a phone is the software it brings and, more importantly, what that software can do. I do NOT use stock Android phones. I hate stock Android. Why? Because it lacks very basic stuff like a theme engine.
The most important thing to me, today, is the presence of a system wide black theme on the phone. On top of that, if the phone is not running Android Oreo, it must also support rootless substratum so that I can fix the awful design choices of the developers of apps like Instagram and Outlook who try to blind us with white backgrounds everywhere.
There's no point in having a phone with a great camera if I then hate to turn it on and use it because the software not only looks horrible with Google's designs but also can't be fixed.
That's why I've only bought the first generation HMD devices and have absolutely zero intentions of ever buying another HMD phone - even if the camera is amazing - again.
As long as HMD wrongfully insists in using Android One / stock Android, I will never like the user experience on the phone because of the software. So I will never buy it.
Then, when the phone passes my software approval process, I look if it also meets my other essential demands, namely:
1 - It's not oversized. If the screen is more than 5", I automatically raise the level of demand from the phone in all areas (including software, which MUST be able to be used with one hand...which, again, stock Android fails at).
2 - It doesn't have a disgusting notch under any form (long, small, doesn't matter. I will not buy a phone with a notch, period).
3 - It supports the basics: headphone jack, microSD expansion, wireless charging, OIS on the camera.
Also my second opinion is Nokia should have a custom OS like MeeGo / Maemo / Symbian. But not a Custom rom for android which eats more resource for some useless features.
Basically i like the pure android approach uptill now for time being.
Please bring back linux based MeeGo reborn we are really waiting for it, You can port existing android apps to it.
Please #DareToBeDifferent
1; distinctive nokia DESIGN: somethning like old nokia N9 or lumia 925, 1520; these were modern design language of nokia and they are definetly way better than any design we got in the market. and this nokia design should be present inself in software too; for example; nokia phones should have an UI that works similar with the old Meego Harmattan ui; same swipe gestures, but with some improvements; for example you cant swipe from yhe sides of the phone due the bigger display sizes, so the developers can and should add a hold-swipe feature that works similar to pinterest and deviant art apps. The rest of the ui: meego lile pitch black blacks, symbian like natural greys (not dead tones that we saw in android ) and other colour options, we should be aple the color of anything for the systemwide themes; not just main colors like red, blue yellow im talking about the whole chart; #ca68dd, #98f1l1, #95ffe8 ALL OF THEM.
meego like buttons and a more responsive elements.
2 Premium nokia features such as old NOKİA SLEEPİNG SCREEN, BUBBLES LOCK SCREEN, supersensitive touch, nokia creative studio, refocus, and real nokia camera that we got back in lumia era.
3 a full user experience out of the box; i should be able to play a 10bit hevc video or a FLAC file out of the box, without needing any other apps or whatsoever; the phoe should have a media player that looks similar to old windows phone 8 media hub; its ui was great it was lacking at the mkv support but it was ok anyways, and same goes for gallery hub too; google photos is terrible at giving a good user experience; old looking design (something like a windows vista program) terrible ui. AND A HEADPHONE JACK AND A GOOD PAİR OF STEREO SPEAKERS.
4 a good hardware; sd450-439 for low end, sd 700 for mid range sd 855 for high end; these are essential but also it should have some high megapixel cameras; for example for high end 24mp main camera, 24 mp wideangle camera, 16 mp monochrome sensor with telephoto lens on it, 4 microphones for high resolution audio record.
if I was designing the next nokia flagship;I would use second generation fabula design (lumia 1520-925 design) i would use hardened thin steel frame and matte ceramic back (with iconic nokia colours such as cyan)
than I would put a 5.7 inch amoled display with 900nit display brighness, leave a 4 mm upper and bottom bezel and put a good pair of stereo speakers to these bezels, i would put headphone jack too, wireless audio still not good enough.
i would put the camera setup i mentioned above and A DEDİCATED CAMERA BUTTON
chipset; sd855 with 6 gb ram, 128 gb rom and sd card slot (duh)
a camera software that can shoow raw photos. and both gallery and media hubs that i mentioned above.
i would make sure that this device is ready for customer to buy before the july; there will be 4 months passed since the mwc so the other brands will lost their shine; and there will be at least 2 month for the release of note and iphone models; NOKİA and HMD will in a very good position; they can impress us AND THEY SHOULD. august-september is the worst time of the year to release a flagsipmodel for nokia.
