I search for a successor for my Lumia 1520

Hi,
I search for a new smartphone, following my Windows Phone Lumia 1520. But it should not fall too far behind my old phone (Android is already a big disadvantage!) So the other features should be close to my old one
- 6' Display in 16:9. Not in 2:1 (18:9) ratio, that would be much smaller!
- Wireless charging
- HD Display, good quality
- Good camera, must not be the high end
- Large battery
- Actual Android version
- No need to do actual action games
- And all typical actual features of course
Any proposals?

  • It's very difficult to find a Nokia phone with these characteristics, the most interesting is Nokia 3.1 Plus:

    - 6' display in 18:9, similar dimensions to lumia 1520
    - no wireless charging
    - HD+ display
    - medium double camera in the rear
    - large battery 3500mah
    - Oreo 8.1 but will be updated
    - Fingerprint sensor in the rear

Today thia smartphone is sell in India but in the next few weeks will arrive in Europe and other countries.

As of now, the closest that you can get is the 7 Plus. Yes, the screen is 18:9, but for me its still big enough to watch media content or to do web browsing. It's also great for split-screen multitask. It doesn't have wireless charging tho', so you can only rely with cables (tho it supports QuickCharge so it didn't take much time to charge).

Screen is great (and no ghost touch/tap-swipe issue as my ol' Lumia 1520 had), camera is definitely better (no OIS but seems to be helped by the larger aperture), almost the same battery life. This phone also has the same, weight-y feeling as the 1520.
  • friend, there is no successor to the 1520 in my opinion. after 6 months of using a 6.1 running android, i'm thinking about trying to repair my old 1520. good luck to you tho.

I would suggest you to go for the Nokia 9, which would be released during Jan. It would be Nokia's flagship phone then rocking 845 Snapdragon Chip set and penta lens camera.
    Just check it out.
  • What!Noki N9 will be a great jump compared to the old lumia 1520.People are just being nostalgic, but in actual fact Nokia 5 is even better than 1520.

Just go and buy a Samsung Galaxy note 9 or s9
Hmd doesn't adds anything special to the phones, just a Nokia logo to the front and back and that's it, the rest is lame Google software, no glance screen, no dedicated camera button, no amoled display, seriously nothing that you used in Nokia phones.
Samsung however offers a fully customized and even more customizable ui (just install the good lock 2018 )
They have the always on display which is very similar to the glance screen.
