Pie🥧 Must be needed to serve in Early Q2 (April2019)
Android 9 pie🥧 for Nokia 3 must be needed to serve in Q2 (April2019) as hmd's pie release timeline, otherwise this phone will be wrost phone of the segment, because Oreo 8.1 user's on this phone facing to buggy performance & Oreo 8.0 user's tired for using the same software from April 2018
I would love to participate on a beta programme like I did for the Oreo 8.0 before on Nokia 3. And, since this is the last OS upgrade for Nokia 3, Nokia should really focus on making the Pie update more stable, optimized and overall bug free.
I'm also waiting for the Pie on Nokia 3 like everyone else but not so optimistic about getting it on time as promised though judging by the past records of Nokia.
Come on, not again, at least not from you, after reading all
comments in this forum! To cut short, Nokia is yet to update remaining handsets
to 8.1. Then they will start Pie Beta Program.
Do you really expect all this to happen in April 2019? Nokia
CSR will laugh after reading all these comments in this forum. Q2 2019! Q2
will start in April 2019 & end in June 2019. Mark my words, they won’t be
able to provide Pie update on time. On 15th August 2019, or may be
later (not sure about later date), @NokiamobileIN, @mehta_ajey & @sarvikas will
probably announce release of Pie to Nokia 3, as if they had done some great hard work.
Either use Nokia 3 (assuming EOL) or throw it in dustbin
with determination of not buying any Nokia phone in future.
Currently, Nokia have around 20 Android phones. Of course,
their priority will be to look after latest phones first, then previous year flagships
& then if time permits, other previously released low end & mid end
phones. Nokia no more bother about their customers.

Think technically, they can skip oreo 8.1 as they skipped 7.1.2 , & Nokia opened pie developer preview for only Nokia7plus & beta labs for Nokia6.1plus neither they had given direct stable pie for all models, As they given timeline for pie updates, before that they thinked about how much time needs for stabilization of the os & there after they given the timeline, anyway I think they will give pie in Q2

Again, to be fair, Nokia 7 Plus and 6.1 Plus use capable and mainstream, well-known Snapdragon processors, in contrast to Nokia 3's years old MediaTek that people barely heard of.
Developing new software for old hardware is generally difficult and not worth the investment, most manufacturers won't even bother! Also, Nokia 3 is not bound with Android One program, so Google cannot hold them accountable either.
Remember, other phones at this price point very unlikely receive any latest Android release. It's good enough that Nokia can deliver an estimate, but I would advise be prepared for the worst.

Are they said that giving pie for this phone is over budget for them, & are they said that they are not going to work anymore with older chipset?? Remember -they are overpriced this phone for providing updates, other manufacturer's given dual camera setup + fingerprint in this price range, but no updates, Anyway they promised & priced for that, in any condition they must be need to provide the 2 yrs. Of os Updates & 3 yrs. Of security patch Updates
I did not try to completely defend Nokia, I'm explaining from their business perspective. Software updates take a lot of commitment and time to provide, especially with poor hardware. It's just not so profitable. I have never seen a device with this ancient specs ever run Pie.
Have you seen Samsung? It seems that throwing new phones is easier than supporting the old ones with updates. Even premium mid-range barely receives 2 year update support.
Of course with this in regard, I am holding on to Nokia's promises as well. But I know I should manage my expectations.
I am also saying that's February security patch yet not released & received to anyone yet, u can check entire Os Updates & security patch release summary with above link of any Nokia phone, go their & select your phone model
All these Nokia wanted to think before making the phone, that the hardware is old and we have to give further upgrade, then we should have chosen the hardware accordingly. But if you have promised now then it will have to be done. And the Nokia 3 device was a bit expensive in India, according to which Nokia 3 users have the right to receive upgrades every month, and they were able to get it, but for the last few months the upgrade in Nokia 3 is coming very slow and it Not good for Nokia.
Apologize all, for previous short reply. Don’t want to disappoint
all of you, but Nokia 3.1 was spotted on geekbench running pie in January 2019
& received the same in March 2019. But unfortunately, till today, Nokia 3
was not yet spotted running pie. (You can search for the relevant links on web).
Not sure, if at all, they had even started Beta testing for this handset or not.
Of course, they will have to give pie update, but really can’t expect as early
as April 2019.

Geekbench is just a benchmark. It is not necessary that Nokia 3 will pass Geekbench. Android Pie will be rolled out once it is ready for Nokia 3 at any time, e.g. Nokia 2.1 not spotted on geekbench but it's got pie earlier than 3.1 🙏
Dear Friends We should recognize that NOKIA 3 is apparently a low price, low class smartphone which doesn't require last version of Android because it is not supposed to fulfill any advanced application....

Non NOKIA 3 user's giving negative replies here, which they doesn't have matter with the nokia 3 pie, I maid a short suvery with sending them a private msg that which nokia phone they are using currently, replied anyone not using Nokia 3 😬😬😀😀
From January 2019 to March 2019, it’s almost one & half
month, Nokia took time to push ‘Android 9 Pie’ to 3.1.
Now reality -
Nokia 3 running ‘Android 9 Pie’ NOT YET spotted on Geekbench
till today. I shall appreciate Nokia, if at all, they give 8.1 update before March/April
2019. When Nokia 3 running ‘Android 9 Pie’ will appear on Geekbench, we may
expect ‘Android 9 Pie’ on Nokia 3 after one & half month.
I appreciate faith and confidence in Nokia from some users about
pushing updates!
