I've a feeling if you are on the beta you aren't going to get anything until HMD release a new version of Android 9.
and who can tell what I have beta or normal?
If you signed up for the beta and installed it and didn't roll back to Oreo then you have the beta.
I signed for beta, but didn't installed it,  waited for an official build.
So? Can this be a reason for such delay?

Well, I've signed up for the beta labs, installed the beta then reverted back to Oreo waiting for the official release. I'm too left with the pie from late December and work the January security patch, so there could be a correlation. Why would the beta testers be intentionally left at the back of the queue? Because they know about the bugs and are picky, having greater expectations? F it all...

@marsic, I also was with beta, also reverted back to Oreo. Then recieved December security patch, then Pie, and one month ago the February security patch.
So, the problem is not that you are beta tester.

Because they are beta testing and they agreed to do it? Even if you never report anything via the feedback app the phone appears to still be sending data on the quiet in the background (last month mine send 150MB of system information) which i suspect we agreed to but didn't bother to read about when we signed up.

It is a generelly HMD-"Problem". About my IMEI-number (and my provider) I was (official) member of thr "Beta-Programm". I didn't roll back to "Oreo". In January my Nokia 8 received the "January-Securitypatch", and in February was it the "final" Version of "Android Pie", together with the "February-Securitypatch" (Germany, TA-1012).

And THAT was it. NO further Update, no "March-Securitypatch", nothing.

    What we hear from HMD?
"It will be coming soon. PLEASE WAIT!"

This can it not be. But, it is so. 😡It will be MY LAST "NOKIA"!!!
No sevice, and, HMD is not interessted in on us, HER CUSTOMERS. 😡😡😡

I did the same and have so far been offered Android 9.0 in January and again with the February patch (which I was only offered after I put in a dead SIM). I have so far not installed Android 9.0 due to it being more broken than 8.1.

So, no, I don't think signing up for the beta but then not participating is the reason you have not been offered the february update. Try a SIM card from a previous contract if you have one.

Still nothing here and i have just tried a GiffGaff and dead Three SIMs again. My missus (same network as me, BT Mobile) and my 2 friends now have it (GiffGaff) and they were all on the first official release without being signed up to the beta.
  • just got the February security update in the uk on my nokia 8
  • Sadly update hasn't fixed ''OK Google"

I have just had another thought Marsic, as i said elsewhere my Nokia 8 appears to be constantly checking for system updates and i am sure i once read that if your phone checks and there is no update available then there is no point checking again until the update seeds further. If this is the case maybe it is our own phones that is the problem and nothing to do with anyone else at all.

@mrbelter my phone also automatically checks for updates, but it seems to do it once a day. The thing is that i was probably within the first batch who received the December security patch, the December release of "stable beta" pie i received the day after the official launch date. But after that it was over, i was transferred to some kind of "undesirables" list apparently...
Meh, on a more lucid note it appears that most owners from Romania are in the same boat as me. And you, if you haven't been struck by luck in the meantime :)

Mine must check absolutely loads because it has always checked within 20 minutes of me checking so i bet it looks 3 or 4 times every hour.

This is the first thing support asked me to try, did you try this?
    1. Go to Settings > Apps and notifications > App info > Google Play services > Storage > Clear data and Clear cache
    2. Settings > Security and location > Location Off
    3. Soft reset: Press and hold at the same time Power key and Volume Up for Only 10 sec, until short phone vibration and Powered by Android message. Your phone will restart, without deleting your data.
    4. Please remove the phone SIM card. (Also you can try it with SIM card from another operator)
    5. After that, please check for the update availability via Wi-Fi network: Settings > System > System update > Check for update

Sadly, this HMD Global & FIH Mobile "Nokia phones" project has little to do with Nokia.

Have someone helped this? Don't wanna do reset (event soft) if there is no chance that this will work.
(P.S. I always had two sims in my phone)

I contacted support today. No good answer about receiving Feb patch in italy. Maybe hmd will understand that at least with Nokia 8 did a very big lack of support. I'm going not to buy anymore Nokia devices. 1 customer lost. Sorry

Nokia support is as helpful as death itself in times of need...IMHO
February patch in Italy are available since the end of that month, I received them using Vodafone as telecom carrier

    Thanks abecedario
  • So, my patience with HMD Global and Nokia brand is over. I am stuck with Oreo 8.1.0 and january security update and have issues with calling etc. I am switching to another phone and another brand and I am going to stop wasteing money for flagships, I am going to higher mid range (which has enough power and functions for me) and I am ready to switch phone every one or two years. But I know one thing - Nokia never again.
