McAfee Livesafe detects trojan virus Artemis in firmware

The Nokia 6 phone is running Android 8.0.

I've been running McAfee for well over a year and it is a reputable anti-virus package, not some fly by night rubbish.

This message has just come up.

The source package is com.aptoide.partners.id3_store.apk.

The problem component is identified as Artemis!2fd47f2a914d.

I can't access the file to delete it.

How can this be fixed?

I also have the same situation using McAfee. Scan picked up 9 hours ago.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see if Nokia get back to us.

I've checked McAfee and they had some problems with Artemis detection late 2017, looks like mostly on PC's.

I might log something there as well, as the Oreo update for Android went through a month or more ago for me so I'd guess it's more likely a problem with McAfee's virus definition.

I ended up doing a factory reset via settings as I had most stuff backed up. Just a pain reloading apps.

McAfee not highlighting it. It looks to have removed the problem.

McAfee reports as high risk trojan

I have the same problem Zemir has. Really poor Nokia Support! Anyone any ideas to solve this problem without resetting the whole Phone?
I ended up just accepting the risk via the McAfee software, so stopping yhe warning. At least I'll get notified of new risks. Agree, really pathetic of Nokia not to respond to a clear issue. Absolutely hopeless customer service!
