Hey, I was just wondering if any of you could play 60 fps videos with apps like MX player. I know for a fact that the video recorder plays 60fps if on high quality. But the phone can't play 60 fps for videos and apps that can be played under 60 fps. Any idea how can this be done?
I've tried MX player on my old phone, it's locally made here in the Philippines and costs around 2,000 to 4,000 pesos (40 to 80 dollars) and is really cheap for a phone and has a lot of good qualities as well. There's also 2 other phones, both are cheaper than Nokia 6, but can play 60 fps videos on MX player. Of course, this phones doesn't have the ability to record hight quality 60fps videos like Nokia 6.
Any help will be appreciated.
I think for smooth video playback @60fps you need hardware decoder that capable to decode video at that frame rate, unfortunately Nokia 6 only have Snapdragon 430 that only support video playback upto 1080p@30fps. Alternative is to shrink video size to 720p@60fps
